 About SSMRV

(IIC), Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC), International Relations Office (IRO), NPTEL
Chapter, Hackathon Club, HR, Marketing, Finance Clubs, COMESCO, Vaimanika Cub,
English Language Lab(ELA), NYPS Tarun Sabha- Udyotana- The Counselling Cell, Paryapti-
The Placement Cell and 25 plus other activity centres develop the requisite skills and
competencies in students by engaging them in plethora of curricular and co-curricular
activities.

About the Department

The Department of Computer Applications at SSMRV College was established in the
academic year 2000-01, offering a 3-year BCA program. The Department is equipped with
adequate infrastructure to support academic, research and extra-curricular activities for the
all-round development of our students with well-qualified, skilled and experienced faculty
members. Special assistance is provided to the students for Technical Training, Soft Skills
and Aptitude throughout the program. Since 2018, as per the India Today MDRA Survey, the
department has been ranked within the top 10 among colleges in and around Bengaluru.In
addition to the BCA program, the department offers Advanced Diploma Courses in
Emerging Industry Ready Technologies to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
These courses are provided by corporates who established their labs on the college
campus.
