EXPT:
Measurement of DC resistance using WHEATSTONE Bridge
Aim: To measure the unknown resistance value of given sample using Wheatstone bridge
Components required:
Wheatstone bridge kit, samples, 5V fixed power supply
Circuit:

Procedure:
1. The unknown sample is connected between R terminals.
2. The (P/Q) ratio is kept at 0.1 (as required)
3. The resistance denomination knobs are kept at zero.
4. The supply voltage is applied between the battery terminals with external position
enabled.
5. The keys G & B are pressed together and direction of galvanometer deflection is noted.
6. Vary the resistance knobs until the galvanometer attains zero deflection point.
7. If deflection is too large with maximum resistance position of all the knobs, change P/Q
ratio to next higher value.
8. Repeat the procedure for the sample with two P/Q ratios.

EXPT.
Measurement of Phase shift and frequency using Digital Oscilloscope

Aim: To measure the phase angle and frequency for the given circuits under AC supply
voltage.
Components required:
Spring board, resistors, Function generator, digital oscilloscope
Circuit:
(i) Series R- L circuit (ii) Series R- C circuit (iii) Series R- L- C circuit

Procedure:
1. Connections are given as per given circuit.
2. Supply voltage of 5 V at 1 kHz is given through function generator.
3. The channels of oscilloscope are connected across source and inductance.\
4. The measurement of voltage across source and inductance, phase angle, cycle time
and frequency are noted.
5. Verify the lag/lead nature of signals observed.
6. Repeat the procedure for RC and RLC series circuits.
