METHODOLOGY

This study aims to determine if there is a significant relationship between

classroom design among students learning. The method on data collection and treatment

will be discussed as follows.

Research Design

A quantitative correlational design will be used in this study in order to determine

the classroom design among students learning. Using this design, its ability to examine

relationships between variables that cannot be manipulated or controlled in an

experimental setting.

Research Sample

The target population for this research was the students of Maasin City, Southern

Leyte. The stratified sample that was randomly selected for this study were the students

of Maasin City National High School in Maasin City, Southern Leyte. The research

consisted of 60 students ageing 12-18 years old.

Research Instruments

Two instruments will be used in this study. The first one was checklist it contains

10 items question the option has a value ranging from 1 to 4. The first instrument aims

to gather comprehensive data on classroom design. The second instrument used was the

rating scale it contains 10 items question that makes use a 5 points rating ranging from

strongly agree to strongly disagree.

To test validity and reability of instrument the researcher conducted pilot testing

to 60 participants and result should cronbrach's alpha equal .675 and significance level

of 10 on all items. This mean that our cronbrach's alpha didn't make it to acceptable

score. So the researcher did and alternative consult to the expert to check the language

used.

Data Collection Procedure

To perform a study, the researcher will ask students permission and explained to them

the goals and finding about the study.

Data Analysis Procedure

 Quantitative analysis

Since the research aimed to identify if there exists a significant

relationship between classroom among students learning, scores were gathered

from the questionnaires used. Because of the nature of the data and the research

problem. Pearson’s correlation was used to statistically treat the scores. Results

were generated using the Statistical method. Descriptives were also generated to

determine the mean and standard deviations.

 Qualitative analysis

A portion of data gathered was from an open-ended questionnaire.

Because of its correlational design, the data was treated using analysis of patterns.

Answers were categorized based on similarities in recurring themes until the

simplest categories were identified.

Ethical Considerations

To ensure that ethical guidelines will be followed in this research, the researchers will use

informed consent. Also, the researchers will use parents permit to its respondents who are

minors. Lastly,
