Cosmic Friendship

Jai's laughter fills the air as he dashes through the fields. He then notices an odd object hanging overhead.

Jai

(Sweet)

Wow! And what's that?

With a beautiful landing, the UFO reveals ZARA, an extraterrestrial dressed in a shimmering silver
spacesuit.

Zara

(relaxing)

Salutations, planet-sider. I arrive at peace.

Jai is taken aback yet not scared.

Jai

(Attracted)

You're not from this area, is that right?

Zara

(laughs)

You're quite observant, young person. From the planet Zylox, I'm Zara.

Even though Jai and Zara have different opinions, they immediately become friends.

INT. HOME - JAI'S VILLAGE - NIGHT

When Jai first brings Zara to his family, they are appalled, but they eventually grow to accept the amiable
stranger.

MOM

(glancing at Zara)

Jai, you never cease to amaze me.

Just Ai

(Smirking)

Mom, please meet Zara. He's not from Earth!

Zara, who assists Jai with his homework and discovers more about Earth, is quickly welcomed into the
tribe.

DAY OF EXT. HARYANA FIELDS

Zara learns about traditional Indian farming from Jai, and he helps the people by using his extraterrestrial
technology. The peasants are thankful as their crops grow well.

DAY OF THE EXT. HARYANA VILLAGE FAIR

Jai and Zara participate in the celebrations, dancing to the sounds of traditional Indian music, at the fair
held in the hamlet.

NIGHT OF THE EXT. HARYANA VILLAGE FAIR

Zara and Jai sit by a campfire at dusk, laughing and telling stories.

ZARA (thinking back)

Jai, I've discovered so much about your world. It is lovely.

JAI (grating)

Zara, I've also learned about your world. It's incredible.

SUNSET - EXT. HARYANA FIELDS

After a few weeks, Zara had to head back home. Standing in the fields, Jai and Zara observe the sun
sinking.

JAI (sad) Zara, I'm going to miss you.

ZARA (sentimental)

Jai, I will also be missing you. My heart now belongs to you and your universe.

They embrace, their friendship spanning continents.

Day - Exit of Haryan Village

When the UFO reappears, it is prepared to return Zara to Zylox.

ZARA (unfortunately)
It's time for us to part ways, buddy.

Though he smiles and gives Zara a handmade bracelet, Jai fights back the tears.

JAI (teary-eyed) For Zara, when you remember me.

Touched by the gesture, Zara takes the bracelet.

ZARA (appreciative)

Jai, I will always treasure this.

The UFO lifts off, trailing stardust over the heavens. Emotion heavy in his heart, Jai watches until it
vanishes.

DAY: EXT. HARYANA VILLAGE

Holding the bracelet, Jai stands in the same grounds where he originally encountered Zara. With tears in
his eyes, he smiles, appreciating the cosmic relationship that had made his life better.
