Minimum Criteria and Qualification:

Specialist Medical Practitioners

✓ Master Degree qualification in the field of specialty (minimum 3-year program)

✓ Minimum One (1) year clinical experience as a specialist after Master Degree
✓ Completed Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery (MBBS) recognized by Maldives Medical
and Dental Council
✓ Completion of 12 months’ internship after MBBS.
✓ Permanent Basic registration certificate from local Medical Council of the candidate
✓ Age: Preferably below 55 years

✓ Permanent Basic registration certificate from local Medical Council of the candidate
✓ Age: Preferably below 45 years

Other Information

✓ Medical Benefits: Ministry of Health will bear the cost of premium for enrolment in a health insurance

scheme as decided by MOH.

✓ Visa: Visa fees will only be paid for the employee.

✓ Police Clearance Certificate: All candidates must have the police clearance certificate (less than 3 months’ validity)
upon signing the contract

NOTE: Job applications with missing documents will be rejected; 5 candidates will be shortlisted for the
Specialist Medical Practitioners, Speech Therapist, Dental Officer and 30 candidates will be shortlisted for
the medical officer post for the interview.

The maximum number of application applicable per agency is as follows

1- Specialist Medical Practitioners: (Maximum 5 Application for Each Post)

2- Medical Officer: (Maximum 15 Application)

3- Speech Therapist: (Maximum 3 Application)

4- Dental Officer: (Maximum 3 Application)

If candidates are chosen for positions related to this announcement and are unable to start work because of

circumstances or are unemployed by the Ministry of Health, their selection may be revoked within three months

after notification.
