Our Amazing Body

The heart is about the size of your fist. It beats day and
night. It doesn’t stop. The heart beats 72 times every minute. When
people run around and exercise, it beats more quickly. The heart is
not very big but it is a very important part of your body. There are
three rules for taking good care of your heart.
(1) Eat healthy food.
(2) Take plenty of exercise
(3) Get plenty of sleep.
There are two of these inside your chest. When

bend and twist. Inside your head is your skull. Your rib bones
protect your heart and lungs. The baby bones have 270 bones and
the grown-ups have 206 bones. The muscles are connected to our
bones. Muscles move arms and legs when we can jump, run, climb,
