I – OBJECTIVES
• Content Standard
Variety of Informative, Persuasive, and Argumentative writing
techniques.
• Performance Standard
The learner demonstrates understanding on the different techniques in
Presuasive writing.
• Learning Competency
The learner can write a short persuasive essay.
• Unlocked Competency
• Identify features and writing styles for Persuasive writing.

Variety of Informative, Persuasive, and Argumentative writing
techniques.

IV – PROCEDURES
• Pre-Activities
Motivation:
"Sell me this", the teacher will ask few students to try to sell him
something and persuave him to buy it.
• Activities
- The teacher will give an example of a persuasive essay to the students via
handouts.
• Analysis
From the 1st activity, the teacher will facilitate Q & A:
1. Which part of the essay do you think catches your attention first?
2. Which sentence persuave you the most?
• Abstraction
- The teacher will discuss the different techniques on persuasive writing.
• Application
- What is the importance on learning the different techniques in persuasive
writing in your daily life?.

V – EVALUATION
• In the same group.
• The group will create an essay about the strand that one should take when they reached
Grade 11.
• Their output will be written in a yellow paper.
• One representative of the group will present output in the class
VI – ASSIGNMENT / AGREEMENT
Research on the difference between Persuasive and Argumentative writing.
