A. Pre-Activities
a. Motivation:
Students will view a 3 mins. video about automotive battery.
B. Activities
1. Activity 1 (Developmental Activity)
 Students will be divided on 3 groups
 Each group will be given a set of materials
 The group will then assemble a model of a battery base on the video
shown(5mins)
C. Analysis
From the 1st activity, the teacher will facilitate Q & A:
 What are the components that will affect the full operation of a battery?
 For you, what do you think the most important part of the battery? Why?
D. Abstraction
The teacher will discuss about:
 Different components of the battery with video aid
 Discuss about different types of battery
E. Application
The teacher will ask a question in the class:
 In your own way, how can you maintain the full capacity of your battery and
how could you prolong the battery life.

V – EVALUATION

 In the same group.


 The group will create an action plan which will enumerate task that they think that can
maintain the capacity and the life of the automotive battery.
 Their output will be written in Manila paper
 One representative of the group will present output in the class
VI – ASSIGNMENT / AGREEMENT
Research on the common maintenance that should be done on a battery
