CIVIL ELEMENT considers its employees to be its most valuable resource. In compliance with General Safety
Regulation 2A;

 No person who is or appears to be under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs is to enter or
remain at a workplace;
 No person is to have in their possession or partake or offer any other person intoxicating liquor or
drugs in a workplace.
 If an employee is taking medicine(s), such person is allowed to perform duties at the workplace if the
side effects of such medicine does not constitute a threat to the health or safety of the person
concerned or other persons at such workplace.

CIVIL ELEMENT furthermore undertakes to;

 Where it is required to do random alcohol tests

The co-operation of employees at all levels acting, as a committed team in carrying out this policy will ensure
compliance.

This policy shall be revised relevant to changes in construction activities, legislation and company procedures
and/ or standards
