A. Preparatory Activities
1. Drill: Skip counting by 5

2. Review
Multiply the following.
a. 15x1=
b. 23x1=
c. 45x1=
d. 19x1=
e. 27x1=

3. Motivation
Show an empty glass
Say: I have here an empty glass.
Ask: “Do you see anything in it?” Why?

B. Developmental Activities
1. Presentation
Teacher shows 2 empty boxes.

Ask: How many boxes are there? Do you see anything in each box? Why?
Write a multiplication sentence for this. (2x0=N)
What number do we multiply by 2? (Zero)
When we multiply 0 by a number, what is the product?
Based on the pictures presented earlier, these show the zero property of multiplication.
Meaning, any number that is multiply by zero is equal to zero and vice versa.

Give more examples.
