The Video’s Vocabulary:


● Rock: If an event rocks a someone, it causes feeling of shock.
– Losing their parents rocked the kids badly.

● Put up with: tolerate or endure something.


– I'm too tired to put up with any nonsense.

● Janitor: caretaker of a building.


– I worked as a janitor when I was 16 years old.

● Unwavering: never changing or becoming weaker.


– Her belief in the project has been unwavering.

● Chore: a routine task, especially a household one.


– The early risers were up and about, doing their chores.

● Juggle: to succeed in arranging your life so that you have time to


involve yourself in two or more different activities.
– Many parents find it hard to juggle children and a career.

● Rollback: reverse the progress.

experience.

● North Star: Metaphorically speaking, your North Star is your personal

● Do-or-die: persist.
– It’s a do-or-die attempt to succeed.

● Tap into: to manage to use something in a way that brings good


results.
– If only we could tap into all that energy and creativity.

● Buffer: a person or thing that reduces a shock or motivation.


– Family and friends can provide a buffer against stress.

● Dilemma: a situation in which a difficult choice has to be made


between two or more alternatives, especially ones that are equally
undesirable.
– She faces he dilemma of disobeying ing her father or losing the man
she loves.

● Temptation: the desire to do something, especially something wrong


or unwise.
– He resisted the temptation to call Celia at the office.

– This tells us that it is possible Adam will visit on Monday
Adam would visit us on Monday.
– This tells us that we can imagine a situation in which Adam wants to
visit us on Monday, but it is not actually possible.
