Dear Parent/Guardian,
In order to assist with A2 project research, on Friday 21 st June, the Art & Design department have arranged a trip
for all first year students to Manchester Metropolitan University Art Degree shows.
Students will meet staff outside Manchester Metropolitan University at 10:30am prompt for registration. The
students will be guided through the degree shows and the MMU/SODA campus during the day. Estimated finish
time will be 2:00pm, when students can make their way back to College for lessons or to their next destinations.
Students will need to make their own way to the venue (travel costs can be covered in most cases by the Ourpass
card) and make provisions for lunch; there are a variety of inexpensive food options around the venue or
students can bring their own lunch. They need to bring any medication they may require on the day, alerting staff
to these on arrival at the venue. Students must ensure that they wear suitable clothing and footwear for walking
around the venue, and will need a camera or phone to take photos, and a sketchbook or notebook to take notes.
