Getting Started:
www.office.com is where you can find your web
apps. You can sign in with your Work email/ password or
Microsoft account info.
From here you can view the app launcher to see a
list of all Office 365 apps and view your recently used files
and files that have been shared with you. Users can pin
files here for easy access.

Collaborating with Shared Files:

Sharepoint:
Work with others with SharePoint Online and access version history directly in SharePoint online.

You can Sync folders to your OneDrive account and have access to them from your OneDrive
desktop app in your file explorer.

Yammer:
A secure social media for organization to build communities and share and reach broader groups
of people.

Teams:
A buisness collaboration tool used to work on files, schedule meetings and chat with others.

Planner:
A light weight task management system that allows you to build a board and add tasks and assign the task to others in the plan, Teams
has a integration of planner known as “Task by planner” allowing users to use most of planners functionally directly within Teams.

Using Outlook on the Web:

Access your email, calendar and notes, contacts via Outlook on the web, you can click on the gear icon in the upper right to adjust your
Outlook web app settings and theme.

Communicating with Microsoft Teams:

1. Profile:
Teams has a profile icon in the upper right that is synced with Microsoft outlooks calendar, you can adjust your presence from Team and
even set a “status message” for a custom time frame to let people know what you are up too!

2. Navigation Pane:
Access the main areas of teams from the left or use keyboard shortcuts ( ctrl + 1,2,3,4,5 = activity(1), chat(2), teams(3), calendar(4),files(5).
You can also pin useful apps to this list and customize the teams interface.

3. Teams Search:
Need to find a file, post, contact? Use the search bar to find anything across your teams and chats! The search can also be used to
navigate teams with “/command” (i.e. /chat, /calendar, /files etc.)

Setting Up your Profile:


From your Teams profile you can set a status message and zoom
into teams, so all the font sizes increase! Be sure to check out
your settings and to frequently check for updates to always have
the latest release of Microsoft Teams.

Don’t forget to check your settings to change


your Teams Theme Settings.

Using Microsoft Teams Meetings:
Before joining every meeting, you can adjust your virtual
background and device settings and choose how you would like
to connect your audio!
Once your camera is turned on you can choose from the built-in
virtual background and add your own!

Once inside of a Meeting your meeting tools


will be in the upper right corner of the window.
The organizer will have the option to setup
breakout rooms and end the meeting.

View the Participant list and mute attendees and download


the attendee list if you are the meeting organizer!

Chat and share files with others during the meeting from
the conversations icon.

Raise your hand if you have a question.

Mute or turn your video on and off.

You can share your entire desktop or a PowerPoint and


even a whiteboard for internal collaboration.

meeting ( disable unmute, create a
lobby, choose a presenter)

Sharing your Screen:


You can share your entire Desktop, Window or a
PowerPoint. If you have a video be sure to check on include
computer audio.
Whiteboard can only be used by internal team members only
and the presenter can control who can edit the whiteboard once
it has been shared from the settings icon.
When sharing a PowerPoint by default attendees can skip
ahead and view slides you are not on, this can be disabled
by checking this icon in the upper right once a PowerPoint
has been shared.

Breakout Rooms:
A meeting organizer can create up to 50 breakout rooms and manually or automatically assign
users to the breakout room.
Once the rooms are open the organizer can make an announcement, this will show up in the
meeting chats of all breakout rooms as a message marked important!
The organizer can Control the room settings to atomically move people into open rooms and
allowing people to return to the main meeting.
All chats will be saved in there own thread and can be found in the chat area of teams after the
meeting.
