Format of Mid-term Project Report

BME CAPSTONE DESIGN COURSE – SEMESTER 1, 2020-2021

1) First page: the title, name of group, group members, name of


project, instructor, TAs.
2) Second page: Table of content
3) Body Part:
a) Introduction:
i) Introduce project motivation: discuss the problem your group
would like to solve
ii) Briefly describe your project goals:
- Design requirements: Requirements that serve any research
purposes or lab uses.
- Design specifications that you want to gain: Be more specific and
detailed about these specifications once you have suggested by
your project advisor.
- How your project product can solve the problem efficiently:
Briefly describe the broad overview of your solution among other
solutions to the current problem.
b) Methodology:
i) Overview of your device/application (Block diagram, briefly
explain functions of each block)
ii) Working principle of your device/application (Flowchart of
program for the developing application project group. I.e: The
transmission program)
iii) Mechanical drawing of your device (The blueprint or 3D Design
to visualize the appearance of your device and its components.

iv) For the developing mobile application group – Please give the
appearance design of each screen and functions of them.

to evaluate the efficiency of your device/application;
Experiment that you plan to use for data validation
c) Project Management:
i) Member task allocation in project.
ii) Project timeline: process bar and the current step from now
that you have gained.
iii) Briefly explain the future work: post Midterm to Final project
report
iv) State possible difficulties and challenges of your project and
how you will deal with them
