SUBJECT: Optional EP- ROM ; FRW/V1.11D, FRM/V2.10D

for Short Width paper(55~60mm)

Brief
We inform you that optional EP-ROMs for short width papers(55~60mm) have been made.

Present Problems
Depending on the position of the paper or the paper feed tray, the paper may not pass through both,
paper and paper feed det, sensors. Mispassing the paper feed det sensor may cause paper jams, paper
feeding will not stabilize.( Mispassing the paper sensor will definitely cause paper jams.)

Program Modification
FRW/V1.11D (for FR39 series)
Even If the paper does not pass through the paper feed det sensor, the machine will disregard the paper
feed sensor, and the paper will be fed until a certain drum rotation degree( according to the setting of test
mode No.171). Therefore, the sag amount of the paper may be large.You can adjust this amount of sag by
setting test mode No.171(paper feed clutch deactivate timing). The setting range of test mode No.171 has
been modified as shown below.

If the paper passes through the paper feed det sensor, as usual, the paper will be fed as normal.

FRM/V2.10D (for FR29 series)

Same as FRW/V1.11D, paper feed det sensor will be disregarded when the paper does not pass through
it. The paper feed clutch deactivates when the light path of the paper feed clutch sensor is blocked. You
can not adjust the deactivating time of the paper feed clutch by test mode. (test mode No.171 does not
exist.
When the paper passes through the paper feed det sensor, the paper will be fed as normal.

Important
Depending to the position of the paper or the paper feed tray, the paper may not pass through the paper
receiving sensors, installed to the suction unit. Therefore, a paper jam message will be indicated.
