‭ cene 1‬

‭(The show begins with Cameron and Mitchel shopping for a new suit.)‬

‭ ITCHELL:‬‭(Looking in a mirror while talking to Cam)‬ ‭I don’t know, I kinda really like this‬

‭one.‬‭(Turns to find Cam talking to a random person.)‬

‭ AMERON: I really think that you would look amazing in that paisley suit jacket.‬‭(Begins‬
C
‭directing someone towards said jacket.)‬

‭MITCHELL:‬‭(Crossing to Cam)‬‭Cameron!‬

‭CAMERON:‬‭(Turning to Mitchell)‬‭Yeah?‬

‭MITCHELL: What are you doing?‬

‭CAMERON: Just giving this nice person some helpful advice.‬

‭MITCHELL: Not everyone wants fashion advice from someone who wears paisley flannel shirts.‬

‭CAMERON: Well if that’s how you feel…‬‭(Crosses away‬‭from him dramatically)‬

‭MITCHELL:‬‭(Crossing to Cam.)‬‭Why don’t you wait outside‬‭until I’m done?‬

‭CAMERON:‬‭(Dramatically throwing his hands up.)‬‭Alright.‬

(‭ Cameron walks out of the store and glances through the window at Mitchell. Lighting changes‬
‭to spotlight Cameron while “Hello” by Adele begins playing.)‬

‭ AMERON:‬

‭Hello, can you hear me?‬
‭I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be‬
‭When we were younger and free‬
‭I've forgotten how it felt‬
‭Before the world fell at our feet‬
‭There's such a difference between us‬
‭And a million miles‬
‭Hello from the other side‬
‭(During this song, Cameron is dramatically dancing‬‭in front of the store window.)‬
‭(As Gloria enters, the music stops suddenly, surprising Cameron. Lighting changes back to‬
‭normal.)‬

‭GLORIA:‬‭(Walking into the scene)‬‭Cameron?‬

‭ AMERON: Oh, hi Gloria, I’m just…‬‭(Turns to face his‬‭reflection in the store window and fix‬

‭his hair.)‬

‭GLORIA: Is that Mitchell?‬‭(Waves to Mitchell who is‬‭still inside the store)‬

‭CAMERON:‬‭(Still fixing his hair)‬‭Oh, um, yeah, I guess‬‭it is.‬

‭GLORIA: We should go say hi-‬

‭CAMERON:‬‭(Interrupting)‬‭- No, no. He doesn’t want‬‭me in there.‬

‭GLORIA:‬‭(Comforting Cameron)‬‭Well then, I guess we‬‭should shop while we’re here!‬

‭(Gloria grabs Cameron’s arm and directs him off stage)‬

‭ cene 2‬

‭(Gloria and Cameron's first stop: Kate Spade. Scene begins with Gloria and Cameron sitting on‬
‭a sofa while workers bring various bags, shoes, and clothes for them to see.)‬

‭CAMERON:‬‭(Worker brings a‬‭Blake Crace Shoulder Bag‬‭)‬‭Oh Gloria! That is so you.‬

‭ LORIA:‬‭(Admiring the bag)‬‭Hm, I don’t know.‬‭(Worker‬‭leaves and is replaced by another‬

‭worker with‬‭Flouret Statement Earings in pink)‬

‭ AMERON:‬‭(Holding the earrings)‬ ‭I mean‬‭(Holds them‬‭up to Glorias ears)‬‭…. These are‬

‭beautiful Gloria!‬

‭GLORIA:‬‭(Waves them away)‬ ‭I already have many pairs‬‭just like those.‬‭(Worker walks away)‬

‭CAMERON: You are very difficult to shop with.‬

‭ LORIA: Oh Cameron, I’m so sorry, it’s just…‬‭(Gloria‬‭stands up. “Thank you Next” by Ariana‬

‭Grande starts playing. Lighting change to spotlight Gloria and a little of Cam.)‬
‭ LORIA:‬

‭Thought I'd end up with‬‭Ralph‬
‭But he wasn't a match‬
‭Wore some pieces of Prada‬
‭Now I listen and laugh‬
‭Even almost got‬‭Rolex‬
‭And for‬‭Fendi‬‭, I'm so thankful‬
‭Wish I could say, "Thank you" to‬‭Kate Spade‬
‭'Cause‬‭she‬‭was an angel‬
‭So, look what I got‬
‭Look what you taught me‬
‭And for that, I say‬
‭Thank you, next (Next)‬

‭(At this point Cam stands and joins in. Workers bring various Kate Spade products which they‬
‭wave off with each “next”)‬

‭(Lighting changes back to normal. Gloria sits down.)‬

‭ LORIA: I’ve been with and without all these beautiful things- and now, even though I want the‬

‭pretty earrings and handbags, it makes me feel guilty.‬

‭ AMERON:‬‭(Sitting next to her and holding her hand)‬‭Gloria, you don’t need to feel guilty for‬

‭having the beautiful things, you’ve worked for this. You earned it.‬

‭GLORIA: Thank you Cameron.‬


‭ AMERON:‬‭(Standing up.)‬‭Well, I think I know the perfect place for us to go next.‬‭(Gloria and‬

‭Cam exit.)‬

‭ cene 3‬

‭(Gloria and Cameron are now at an Ice cream shop. They are sitting across from one another‬
‭and they each have a sundae in front of them.)‬

‭ LORIA:‬‭(Excitedly eating ice cream.)‬‭Cameron! This‬‭is the greatest ice cream I have ever‬

‭tasted.‬

‭CAMERON: Yes, Baskin Robbins is truly the greatest.‬‭(Begins to eat his ice cream.)‬

‭GLORIA: After this, would you like to stop by Rolex? I need to find a present for Jay.‬

‭CAMERON: A present? Is it his birthday?‬

‭GLORIA: Oh no. I just thought I would do something nice for him.‬

‭CAMERON: That's so sweet!‬

(‭ Lighting changes to spotlight Gloria who begins to sing “Diamonds” by Rihanna. This song is‬
‭for her husband, Jay. Cameron remains unfazed until he comes in.)‬

‭ LORIA:‬

(‭ The following are parts of the chorus of both songs. Cameron and Gloria and now standing,‬
‭facing different directions, singing towards the source of their happiness in that moment. These‬
‭parts will be sung at the same time.)‬

‭(We see Mitchell wandering through the mall in search of Cameron)‬

‭ ITCHELL: Cameron! I’m sorry. I need your help, I really do.‬‭(Tries calling his phone - no‬

‭answer)‬‭Cameron!‬

(‭ lighting changes to spotlight Mitchell. A slow dramatic version of “Call me Maybe” by Rae‬
‭Jepsen begins playing. Mitchell is standing my the mall fountain in time for him to throw a coin‬
‭in the fountain for the opening line)‬

‭ ITCHELL:‬

‭I threw a wish in the well‬
‭Don't ask me, I'll never tell‬
‭I looked to you as it fell‬
‭ nd now you're‬‭nowhere near‬

(‭ The song reverts back to its original upbeated-ness as Cameron appears walking aimlessly. He‬
‭doesn’t notice Mitchell, but Mitchell sees him. )‬

‭Cold mall,‬‭draft‬‭was blowin'‬
‭Where you think you're going, baby?‬

‭(Cameron and Mitchell run to meet in the middle of the stage and embrace one another.)‬

‭MITCHELL: Cameron. I’m so sorry. I really did need you in there.‬

‭CAMERON: No, you were right. Not everyone wants my advice with fashion.‬

‭MITCHELL: Woah, you are always so confident with clothes, what changed?‬

‭CAMERON: I had a nice talk with Gloria.‬

‭(The show ends.)‬
