SOSTAC Analysis of EdCare:

Situation analysis:
We as an edtech startup providing education to disabled students. These students always need
some extra care for education. Currently in Bangladesh there are a lot of edtech startups who are
providing different type of education for regular students. But there is no startup for disabled
students. About 1.7 percent of the total population are children with disabilities. We want to
come forward to help these students with our edtech service EdCare.

Our customers: Our main target is to provide education through online platforms to the disabled
students. For time being we are only providing our service to the students who have dyslexia,
ADHD and visual impairment with an age range of 6-18 years. Our customers can get service
through our application and they can also get our educational contents through our Youtube
channel.

Our competitors: There are a lot of edtech startups in Bangladesh at the moment. 10 minute
school, Shikho, Shohopathi, Interactive cares and many other startups who are successfully
doing business. But they are only providing education to normal healthy students. So we do not
have any direct competitor for our business at the moment. But soon there can be many
competitors since there are many successful companies. They can come up with better idea and
more funds in the future which can create our direct competitor.
Our channels: We are using online platforms and partnership with educational institutions as our
channel. For online platform we are using our application to deliver our content. We have
developed this application with user friendly interface that students can easily operate and get in
touch with our content. We will also be using Youtube as our channel. We will be providing
contents through our youtube channel as well. Also we will make partnerships with different
educational institutions for disabled students in Bangladesh.

SWOT analysis:

Strength: The biggest strength for our company is that currently there is no existing startup for
disabled children in Bangladesh.

Weakness: Our company could face couple of weaknesses such as technical barriers, poor
internet connection etc. Which is a common scenario in Bangladesh.

Opportunities: We could gain government support, community engagement and expansion of

offerings in the future.

Threats: The other strong edtech startups like 10 minute school, Shikho, Shohopathi and other
startups are a threat for our company. They could come up with better idea and better financial
backup.

Objectives:

Our main objective is to gain as much subscribers and users as possible. Also our goal is to help
these helpless children with proper education. So that they can also compete with the world with
their potential. Our target is to reach the top 3 edtech startups in Bangladesh by 2026. We will be
providing education to not only students with dyslexia, ADHD and visual impairment but also
the students who have any sort of disabilities. And we are planning to do that by 2025. We are
also planning to collect funds from different investors to expand our business so that we can
reach our goals. Also we can spend more on our marketing section so reach as many people as
possible since our company is new in the industry and a lot of people are unaware of our
company and its service. In 2 years we are targeting to gain at least 20,000 customers.
