1. ABSTRACT:
This document is created for the purpose of guiding the Jain University students to make
familiar with the online examination process.

2. SCOPE:
The scope covers the online exam process for all the institutions under Jain University.

3. Login Page for the ERP:


The URL for the Examination website is https://jainexams.jgianveshana.com . The
student has to login using the Student USN, Password: Date of Birth (format:
DDMMYYYY) and enter the Captcha shown in the image. This will take the student to the
Exam Instructions Page.

4. Instructions of Jain University Exam:


The student has to read all the online exam instructions of Jain University and Accept the Read
and understood the instructions Checkbox. Click on “START YOUR EXAM HERE”” to continue.

5. Jain University Online Exam page:
This page will display the College name, Students details and Today’s Subject details. The
student should check all the details before start attending the exam.
Student can start with either MCQ exam or Descriptive exam as per their choice. If a student
starts with attending MCQ exam, he/she have to complete it and then move to Descriptive
exam. The Student cannot move to Descriptive exam unless he/she complete and submit
MCQ exam and vice-versa.

6. MCQ Exam Page:


This page will display the Student name, subject name and exam timing details in the upper
part. Question Palette and the multiple answers for each question is shown in the second
half of the page. The students are required to select each question in palette and choose
answers. Students can answer the questions randomly, they can go back to already
answered questions and change their choice also. After attending all the questions as per
exam guidelines, students should press COMPLETE button given at the end.

Once the MCQ exam is completed a popup will appear showing the details of no. of total
questions, No of questions attempted and the No. of questions un-attempted. Student can
go back to exam and again cross check the answers or can click on Finish Exam button to
end the MCQ exam, after checking the details carefully.

After the student completes the MCQ exam, the system will automatically redirect the
student to Descriptive exam page within 10 seconds as shown in the below image.

7. Descriptive Exam Page:
This page will display the Student name, subject name and exam timing details in the upper
part. Questions and its status (answered or not answered) is shown in the second half of the
page. The students are required to click on each question and answer.

Once the student clicks on the descriptive question, below page will be displayed. The student
will have the option to upload the files and images as shown below.

8. UPLOADING IMAGE AS AN ANSWER
This page is the important page as it deals with all the activities related to answering all the
questions of this descriptive exam. The answering process will be as below:
a) Students have to write his/her answer on a A4 sheet, prescribed by the University for the
purpose of exams and take a photo of those sheets and upload a JPG Image file (not more
than 4 MB in size) as an answer to a question.
b) To upload the file, click on CHOOSE FILE select the correct answer file from your desktop
/Laptop and the students have to press UPLOAD button (The uploaded files should be in
the same sequence of page number as mentioned on the answer sheet).
c) The students can upload any number of pages for each question as per the requirement
of the question.
d) After the image file is uploaded, there are 2 important options available. Firstly, students
can preview the answers images uploaded by using the play/preview button, the
uploaded image will be displayed as shown below. Kindly make sure that the image file
uploaded as an answer is clearly readable and legible.
e) The student can delete the image uploaded for a question by using the DELETE button as
shown below.
f) After confirming all the above points, student can submit the answer finally. The students
can edit their answers by using the EDIT button available on Question paper page which
is shown in point no. 10 here below.
g) At any point of time, if the students want to go back to question paper page and check
other questions, they can use the GO BACK TO QUESTION PAPER page as shown in the
below image.

9. DESCRIPTIVE EXAM SUBMISSION:
The students can edit their answers by using the edit button available in this page. After
attending all the questions as per exam guidelines, students should press SUBMIT EXAM
button.
Important Note: Answers submitted/uploaded only on the portal will be considered for
evaluation and grading. Files shared via email or any other media will not be evaluated.
Student should answer at least one question to submit exam.

Pressing of submit exam button will follow with the below page which gives the details about
total questions in the exams, No. of questions attended and No. of questions unattended. .
Student can go back to exam and again cross check the answers or can click on “FINISH
EXAM” to complete the descriptive exam.

10. Log Out Page:
Once the student finishes the exam, below page will be displayed. Student should LOGOUT
from the exam as shown in the below image.

11. Exam Answer Sheet Template:


The Answer sheet template for the University examination is given below. Students are
required to mention the Reference number (Unique Ref. Number is available for each
student as highlighted in the below screen shot), Course code, Question No. and Page No.
on the answer sheet in the space provided as shown in the below page.
