Rnd 31: Stuff the head firmly, do not stuff the
neck.
Flatten the neck and dc through both sides to
close.
Break the yarn and leave a long tail for sewing
later.
Place the neck on the pastel green body part just
under the grass green edge. Sew on, do not cut
the yarn. Fold the head up over the grass green
body part and sew a few stitches between head
and body to make sure it stays up. Fasten off the
yarn tail.
With black, embroider 2 black eyes over rounds
9-10, with approximately 9 stitches in between.
With white embroidery thread, embroider white
lines and eye details.
In black , emboider a black line over the eye.
With pastel green yarn, embroider 2 vertical
shaped nostrils approx 3 stitches from the eyes
over rounds 11-12, with 3 stitches in between.
Sew on the cheeks next to the eyes over rounds
12-14.
LEG (MAKE 4)
Rnd 1: In pastel green yarn working into magic
ring, 6 dc. 6 sts.
Work in a spiral in continuous rnds.
Rnd 2: [2 dc in the next st] 6 times. 12 sts
Rnd 3: [1 dc, 2 dc in the next st] 6 times. 18 sts
Rnd 4: 3 dc, [bo, 1 dc in the next st] 2 times, bo,
10 dc. 18 sts
Rnd 5: 18 dc. 18 sts
Rnd 6: 3 dc, [dc2tog] 3 times, 9 dc. 15 sts.

Stuff the legs.
Break the yarn and leave a long tail for sewing
later. Place 2 legs on each side of the head, and
2 legs in the back, 1 round from the grass green
edge. Before you sew on the legs make sure the
turtle can stand up.

Sew on the tail between the back legs just under
the edge of the shell.
TREASURE MAP
Row 1: With cream yarn working in rows, ch 11.
Row 2-6: Starting in the second ch from your
hook, 1 dc
in the next 10 sts. ch 1, turn your work. 10 sts.
Rnd 7: 1 dc in each st around the map, 2 dc in
each corner.
With red yarn, embroider a red cross on the map.
With black yarn, embroider running stitches on the
map from the cross, in a snake shape down to the
end corner.
With red yarn, embroider a red cross at the shell.
With black yarn, embroider running stitches
around the shell to mark a path.
