Imane: Oh, what's on your mind?

Nour: [leans forward with a thoughtful expression] I've been considering

my career path and where I see myself in the next few years.

Selma: [nodding in agreement] It's always good to think about the future
and set some goals.

Imane: Definitely! Have you come up with any exciting plans?

Nour: [smiles eagerly] Yes, I've been researching some potential

opportunities for further education and exploring different industries I'm
passionate about.

Aicha: [enthusiastically] That sounds like a fantastic plan! It's important to

keep growing and challenging ourselves.

Doha: Absolutely! [leans back with a confident grin] The future is full of
possibilities, and I have no doubt that each of us will achieve amazing
things.

Selma: [nods in agreement] Here's to chasing our dreams and making the
most of every opportunity that comes our way!
Imane: [raises her hand in a gesture of agreement] Cheers to that! Let's
embrace the future with excitement and determination!

Unit 6: Listening in IPC:

Doha: "Hey, girls, I haven't seen you for quite a long time." [Initiating Contact]

Nour: "Seriously, life keeps us drowned in daily issues, right?"

[Acknowledging Common Experience]

Imane: "I've been so caught up in my own thoughts, barely had time to

listen." [Expressing Distraction]

Aïcha: "I miss feeling truly heard. Sometimes it seems like we're going to
be separated forever." [Expressing Emotion]

Selma: "Hey, let's make a pact to listen actively to each other, like we used
to." [Proposing Action]

Doha: "We need to prioritize active listening to strengthen our

connections, don't you think?" [Emphasizing Importance]

Nour: "Absolutely. Let's make an effort to truly understand each other's

perspectives." [Agreement and Commitment]

Imane: "How about practicing reflective listening? It could help us validate

each other's feelings." [Suggesting a Technique]

Aïcha: "That sounds like a great idea. Active listening fosters deeper
connections." [Supporting the Suggestion]
Selma: "Count me in. Let's commit to being present and attentive listeners
for each other's sake." [Final Agreement and Commitment]

Doha: Hey lovely friends! How's everyone feeling on this fabulous Friday?

Nour: Doha, you always bring the energy! I'm feeling pumped, ready to kick
off the weekend.

Imane: Hey everyone! I'm so ready to unwind. This week felt like it lasted a
month.

Aicha: Hello, folks! Doha, Nour, Imane, I'm itching for some adventure. Any
ideas?

Selma: Hi friends! I'm feeling the nature vibes. How about we hit the trails
for a hike tomorrow?

Doha: Yes! that's exactly what I need. Mind if I tag along? I'll bring snacks!

Nour : Count me in for the hike too! Nature always has a way of
rejuvenating the soul.

help her move. Next time for sure!

unforgettable memories.
Selma : alright, then let's make it , I am so excited..

Unit 8: Conversational Messages

[five friends, Doha, Nour, Imane, Selma, and Aicha, are sitting together in a
cozy café, sipping on their favorite drinks. As the conversation unfolds,
they begin discussing their recent experiences with exams and academic
challenges.]

• Doha: [Frustrated] "I feel like I'm drowning in textbooks and notes. There's
just so much to cover before the exams."[Self-disclosure]

• Nour: [Nodding sympathetically] "I know exactly how you feel, Doha. It's
like no matter how much we study, there's always more to do."[Response
to disclosure]

• Imane: [Taking a deep breath] "I've been waking up in the middle of the
night, feeling overwhelmed by all the pressure."[Self-disclosure]

• Selma: [Reaching out to grasp Imane's hand] "I understand, Imane. It's
tough not to let the stress get to us."

• Aicha: [Voice trembling] "I just want to do well, but sometimes I worry that
I'm not smart enough."

[There's a moment of silence as they each grapple with their fears and
insecurities.]
• Doha: [Breaking the silence] "You know, sometimes I feel like I'm the only
one struggling."

• Nour: [Quickly shaking her head] "You're not alone, Doha. We're all in this
together."

• Imane: [Offering a faint smile] "Yeah, we may feel overwhelmed now, but
we've overcome challenges before. We can do it again."

• Selma: "And we'll support each other every step of the way. We're a
team."

• Aicha: "Thank you, guys. Knowing that I have you all by my side means
everything to me."[Appreciation]

In this conversation, Doha, Nour, Imane, Selma, and Aicha embody the
principles of emotional expression by openly discussing their feelings of
stress and self-doubt surrounding exams.

[Relationship Stages - Contact stage]

exchange theory]

Aicha: I miss this , it feels like we've been separated forever. [Deterioration
stage]

Selma: Hey, don't worry. We always find our way back to each other, like
sisters. [Attraction theory]

Doha: We should make an effort to keep this going, right? Maybe

something regular? [Social exchange theory]
Nour: Definitely. Let's make sure we don't lose touch, no matter how busy
things get. [Repair stage]

Imane: How about monthly game night? Just chill and have fun. [Social
penetration theory]

Aicha: I love that idea! Do you guys remember how much we used to laugh
together? [Politeness theory]

Selma: Yeah, we need this monthly game to keep our friendship strong and
lively. [Relationship Communication - Communication in developing

Unit 11:Interpersonal Conflict and Conflict Management

Doha: Hey besties! How's the squad doing today?

Nour: Hey Doha! Well, I had a showdown with my partner last night.
[Interpersonal conflict is inevitable; it’s a fact of all relationships.]

Imane: Oh no, what happened?

Nour: We had a major disagreement about our weekend plans.

[Interpersonal conflict is a disagreement between connected individuals
who each want something that is incompatible with what the other wants.]

Selma: Oh boy, that sounds stressful! What went wrong?

Nour: Well, I wanted to go hiking, but he was set on a movie marathon.

[Conflict may focus on content (matters external to the relationship) or on
relationship issues (matters integral to the nature of the relationship).]
Imane: uhm, the classic clash of outdoor adventure versus Netflix and
chill!

Aicha: Haha, exactly! But hey, compromise is key in any relationship, right?
[Seek out win–win solutions. Remember that both parties can win.]

Doha: Absolutely! Finding that middle ground can turn a disagreement into
an adventure.

Selma: Totally! Let's make sure we communicate our preferences clearly

next time to avoid any movie vs. hiking showdowns. [Use talk to discuss
the issues rather than trying to force the other person to accept your
position.]

Aicha: Cheers to that! Here's to finding harmony in our plans and keeping
the good times rolling!

Unit 12 : interpersonal power and influence :

Doha: "Hey, have you guys ever noticed how much power Aya has over us
when it comes to choosing where to eat?" [Power]

Aicha: "Oh, absolutely! She's like the food dictator of our group." [Coercive
power]

İmane: "And her charisma just makes it impossible to argue. She could
probably convince us to eat at a cardboard box if she wanted."
[Compliance-gaining strategies]

Nour: "Haha, true! But remember that one time when we convinced her to
try sushi for the first time? That was a victory for our influence!"
[Compliance-resisting strategies]
Selma: "Yeah, and now she acts like she's the sushi expert whenever we go
out. It's hilarious!" [Expert power]

Doha: "Well, whether it's choosing restaurants or trying new foods, our
group definitely knows how to wield our influence in fun ways." [Power
plays]

Aicha: "Absolutely! It's all part of the adventure of friendship, right?"

[Positive identity management]

İmane: "Speaking of adventures, remember the time we convinced Aya to

go skydiving? That was epic!" [Power plays]

Nour: "Oh, yeah! She was so terrified, but she trusted us enough to do it.
That's the power of friendship!" [Power plays]

Selma: "Definitely! We've definitely had some memorable moments

together, and there are plenty more to come!" [İdentity management]
