uniform and it gave me confidence. Now,
the confidence is as strong as my love for
our country.
I come from a family of soldiers and

decide to enter the military.

of duty or patriotism.
THEMES
1. LOVE FOR COUNTRY – Most of the participants point out that their desire to protect the country is the major factor.
They want to make the country a better place; few bad people, no terrorists, a lot of happy and free children. They also
want to protect the country from anything that common countrymen can’t do.

2. CHILDHOOD DREAM – Few respondents said that being soldier/police is their dream. They always see themselves
wearing the uniform and protecting their country from bad people.

3. EXTERNAL INFLUENCE – The external influences included here are their experiences with soldiers/policemen, their
family (either from bloodline or choice of the parents), the respect they can get from thier family and friends, and the
influence from friends. This shows that being in military is not their voluntary choice but more of the choice of the people
around them.
