Hr case study

1. .Policies governing inter-office relationships

Ali had an affair with one of the workers under his department. Therefore, it has violated the
company policy at his workplace. They should inform HR about their relationship because the
company policy allows their regular dating relationship to work on the relationship on the right
channel. For example if a manager started a relationship with an employee and they informed HR of
their relationship, the company might transfer one of the employees to a different department as a
way to mitigate the possibility of misconduct

2. Discrimination and harassment

Ali is a perverted manager because he often disturbing female workers at his workplace. In addition,
Ali is also a bully because he often abuses his power as a manager to bully employees under him
such as giving up responsibilities or inappropriate work, telling his employees to do work outside the
scope of work such as telling his employees to pick his son from school. Harassment activities create
a hostile work environment, which violates Title VII of the Equal Employment Opportunity
Commission and can lead to legal action.

3. Breach of Confidentiality

Ali is an irresponsible employee and committed a breach of confidentiality when he misused the
company's internal data for his personal purposes. He spread the data about one of his company's
customers because he had a personal grudge. Sharing private information regarding money,
business processes, and customer connections is a violation of that agreement and an example of
misconduct. Because of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act guidelines on who can
access patient information and medical details, breaches of confidentiality are extremely dangerous
in the health care profession.

4. Unethical partnerships

Ali is a manager who is very unfair to the employees under his department because he often makes
one-sided and biased decisions. This is because he is influenced by an employee in his department
who is also his secret lover. If a manager begins dating an employee who reports to them, that
manager and the organization may be subject to a harassment claim. Subordinates may feel
compelled to accept promotions from their bosses.
