The Petals of Damask Roses can be used to obtain
the Rose Petal Jam, the syrup, rose water or rose
petal honey (with the fragrance of roses).

Our company use chemical free roses to produce
Rose Petal Jam. We grow our roses ourselves.

The flowers are famous for their fine fragrance, and are
commercially harvested for rose oil used in perfumery and
to make rose water and "rose concrete".

The sweet strong fragrance of the Damask Rose petals is
highly aromatic and even spicy, not to mention that it is
delicious.

Company premises

The main plantation is located in Prahova county,
at the edge of Ploiești.

Thanks to our collaboration with Ionela, we have
expanded the business also in the Dâmbovița
county.

The location where the Rose Petal Jam is produced
is our personal kitchen.
The history of the company 1

• In 2010, my parents started this business. At the beginning they


had a 2,500 m2 roses farm. They heard of Damask Roses and the
curiosity made them to grow their first culture of this kind.
• When I started university, I took over my parents business
together with my colleague, Irina. We have a passion for roses and
because of that together, we have developed the business.
The history of the company 2

The history of the recipe of petal jam comes from my great-
grandmother. She is from Bulgaria.

Our magical recipe is transmitted from generation to
generation. It is a secret recipe and great-grandmother was
very proud of it. Our purpose is to produce wonderful and
unique products and to share them with people around us.

Fixes together with managers of departments the development objectives;

Marketing strategy 1
• Our marketing strategical objective is to offer people unique
Rose Petal Jam.
• The customers are in the center of all our marketing efforts.
Our company is very centered on the customer. It would seem
very ironic for a company to not provide adequate after sales
services for the customers for whom so much time and money is
spent. We are not this type of company. We provide a toll free
number where the customers can call and give their feedback if
they are dissatisfied with the product. The number will be
provided on the packaging.
Marketing strategy 2

We have direct and also indirect competitors. There are many international
brands as well, but we do not wont to compete with be them, because they
target the rich segment of population. The few local brands mentioned offer
low cost products and they target the same costumers.

The following brands our currents competitors. They are ranked according to
their market share:

• We use various ways to do direct marketing like TV commercial,


catalog, magazine, kiosk and newspaper. Nowadays everyone like to
watch TV and we can show or tell about our product trough TV
channels.
• Also, the company wants to inform the mass of people about Rose
Petal Jam by TV, radio and newspaper ads.
Future plans/ investment

In the future, we want to access European funds for to open a factory.
By any means we want to make the factory known internationally.

Furthermore, we want to add other products obtained from rose
petals. This means the purchase of land and the recruitment of staff
specialized in this field of work.

Most of our plan is that our business to resist in time and people to
enjoy 100% natural goodies.
Conclusions

In conclusion, the spirit of the entrepreneur acquired in the university
helped us to dream of more.

Together, we managed to achieve success, but also because of my
great-grandmother.

We hope that through the establishment of this company to motivate
others to have confidence in their own forces and to perseverate.

With small steps you can expand your horizon!
