Application for Membership Ephraim Yacht Club, Ephraim, Wisconsin

Members Section 1. Classes. A ny person who has an active interest in fostering the purposes of the club may apply for membership. Classes of Mem bers and standards for eligibility for such classes shall be as follows: (a) Family. Fam ily m embership shall be marital/family status: (i) (ii) for anyone who has the following

Married and under seventy-one years old; or With one or m ore children under th e age of 25, regardless of m arital status or age.

The spouse of a Fa mily Mem ber shall have all th e privileges of Fam ily m embership, subject to Section 3(b ) of Article II of the Bylaws. In th e event of the divorce of a Fam ily Mem ber, each spouse shall have the right to rem ain a member without payment of another initiation fee. Beginning in the year after the date of divorce, each spouse shall be respons ible for paying m embership du es based on his or her new class of m embership. (For example, di vorced m embers with custody of children un der age 25 will continu e to pay for a Fa mily m embership; divorced m embers without custody of children under age 25, or divorced m embers all of whose children are over age 25 would be eligible for Single membership.) (b) (c) Student. Shall be under 25 years of age, unm arried, may not be the child of a Family Member and shall have no vote. Junior. Shall be under 25 years of age, unm arried, and the child of a Fam ily, Life or Honorary Mem ber. A Junior Mem ber shall pay no dues and have no vote. A Jun ior Member may become a Sing le or Family Member at an y time by paying Single or Fam ily Me mber dues but which shall not include any initiation fee if the Junior Member becomes a Single or Family Member within one year following his or her 25th birthday. Single. Shall be an unm arried person at least 25 and less than 71 years of age without children under the age of 25. Senior. Shall be a person age 71 or older without children under the age of 25. The spouse of a Senior Mem ber shall have all the privileges of Senior membership.

Section 2.

Membership Year . The m embership year shall be June 1 through May 31. New Members who join after Augus t 31 of a year shall be granted m embership for the following year. Reinstatement. Former Members whose membership was terminated for non-payment of dues or who resigned while in good standi ng may rejoin within two (2) years of the May 31 date upon which their m embership expired by paying a reinstatem ent fee as determined by the Boar d of Directors. The f ull initiation f ee will be a ssessed f or a lapse of more than two (2) years.
