NOTES
1) Reactors operating conditions are modified according to catalyst activity: SOR (Start of run) and EOR (End of run).
Top and bottom operating conditions corresponds to first reactor inlet and second reactor outlet respectively.
2) H2S is not present at reactors. Feed sulfur content: 1550 ppm %w/w.
3) Vendor shall comply with the following Client specifications:
MET ET 001 – Pressure Vessels
MET ET 003 – Typical details of Vessels
MET ET 004 – Fabrication Requirements for Vessels Less Than 25mm Thickness
MET ET 005 – Fabrication Requirements for Vessels More Than 25mm Thickness and Low Alloy Steel (if
applicable)
MET ET 006 – Welding Procedure
MET ET 007 – Impact Tests in Base Materials and Weldings
MET ET 032 – Welding Requirements for Equipment and Piping
MET ET 036 – General Specification for Columns and Pressure Vessels
CIV ET 001 – Accion de Viento (Wind effects)
CIV ET 002 – Cargas de Diseño para Equipos, Estructuras, Edificios y Fundaciones
MET ET 045 – Wind Loads in Tall Vertical Vessels
CIV ET 009 – Calorifugado (Insulation)
4) Please refer to general arrangement drawing.
5) Design pressure in accordance with 3401 J A/B Feed Pumps shut-off pressure. Full Vacuum design condition at
ambient temperature.
6) All components welded to pressure parts shall be made of the same material as shell’s.
7) All dimensions are shown in mm.
8) All internals shall be introduced through a manhole (Min 900 mm internal diameter). If necessary, they shall be
made of several pieces to be introduced inside the reactor.
9) C.A.: 3 mm on each exposed surface if internal is welded to reactor.
C.A.: 0 mm if internal is removable.
10) Internals supporting members shall allow a man to step/hang on for maintenance purpose (1500N as concentrated
load).
11) In accordance with Operating Instructions Manual and Process Data Book, activation “in situ sulfiding” of the
catalyst is not foreseen. “Ready to use” catalyst, HR-845 S should be loaded in the reactor.
12) In accordance with Process Data Book, “ex situ” catalyst regeneration is foreseen.
13) Vessel shall be subjected to steam out at atmospheric pressure with medium pressure steam at 300ºC.
14) For Painting System details see doc. 3149-00-0000-IG-GE-LP-0002, Table 3.
15) Equipment shall be suitable for outdoor service, marine and corrosive environment.
