This narrative report provides a comprehensive overview of my housekeeping
operations at LNU House for the period of May 6, 2024 to May 11, 2024.
The first day I was assigned as a guest room attendant. I started by carefully
checking my assigned rooms for any issues. With my cleaning tools in hand and a
sharp eye for detail, I worked to make each room spotless and inviting. I dusted
surfaces, changed linens to fresh ones, and ensured bathrooms shone with
cleanliness. No detail is too small as they arrange amenities and ensure every
corner feels fresh and cozy.
On the second day, I was assigned as a public attendant in the morning and a guest
room attendant in the afternoon. I carefully cleaned public spaces in the morning
despite challenges like busy foot traffic and aimed to create a welcoming
environment. In the afternoon, I ensured guest rooms were impeccably clean and
comfortable. Challenges were met with efficiency and professionalism while fostering
the establishment's reputation for excellence.
On the third day, I was assigned at the front desk however our whole class was
assigned to clean the kitchen. Cleaning a neglected kitchen was a comprehensive
process that involved thorough assessment and diligent execution. The whole class
addressed extensive dirt buildup and potential health hazards by clearing debris,
scrubbing surfaces, degreasing equipment, and disinfecting the entire area. Despite
challenges such as foul odors and safety concerns, our dedication and perseverance
resulted in the successful restoration of the kitchen to a clean, safe, and functional
space. Our efforts ensured that the kitchen was ready for use once again,
contributing to the overall well-being of the establishment.
On the last day, I was assigned as a linen attendant. My day began with receiving
soiled linens and I carefully sorted, inspected, and pre-treated stains to prepare the
linens for washing. Utilizing industrial-grade washing machines and appropriate
detergents, I laundered the linens following established protocols to maintain quality
and cleanliness.
