 Color Theme
The first option we'll look at is Color Theme. This option controls the
overall color of Photoshop's interface

By default, the highlight color is a shade of gray.


The other highlight color we can choose is blue

➢ UI Font Size

If you have trouble reading small print, you can increase the size.
To make the text bigger, choose either Medium or Large.

Show Tool Tips
A "Tool Tip" is a helpful message that pops up when you hover your mouse
cursor over a tool or option in Photoshop.

Tool Tips are enabled by default.


But once you know your way around Photoshop,
simply uncheck "Show Tool Tips" in the Preferences.

▪ Use Shift Key for Tool Switch


Photoshop's tools are all found in the Toolbar along the left of the
interface. Adobe groups related tools together to save space. If I
click and hold on the Lasso Tool, showing me 3 different lasso.
Notice that all three tools share the same keyboard shortcut (the
letter "L"):

To cycle through these three tools


press and hold your Shift key
and press "L"

➢ File Handling Preferences


Auto Save
By default, Auto Save is set every 10 minutes. you may want to
shorten the interval from 10 minutes to 5 minutes instead. You can
also choose a longer interval.

➢ Recent File List Contains


Another important option in the File Handling preferences is
Recent File List Contains.
By default, Photoshop will keep track the last 20 files you
worked on. You can increase the value all the way to 100,
Or set the value to 0 to disable this option.

Choose the Performance category on the left:

Memory Usage
The Memory Usage option in the Performance category controls how much of your
computer's memory is reserved for Photoshop

The Toolbar (also known as Tools panel) is where
Photoshop holds all of its tools. You'll find it along the
left of Photoshop's interface. There's tools for making
selections, for editing and retouching images, for
painting, adding type or shapes to your document, and
more

Bar. The Menu Bar is where we find various options and
commands, all grouped into categories
