EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 22

CREATION OF BARANGAY FISHERIES AND AQUATIC RESOURCES

MANAGEMENT COUNCIL (BFARMC)

WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 240 implementing rules and regulations creating
Barangay Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management, their composition and functions;

WHEREAS, the DILG issued MC No. 2001-131 and MC 99-142 enjoins local
government units to create Local Fisheries and Aquatic Resources and Management Council;

NOW THERFORE I, Rodrigo G. Jansor Jr. Punong Barangay of Barangay Silop,

Surigao City by virtue of the power vested in me by law, do hereby order:

SECTION I. The BFARMC is hereby created.

SECTION II. The Barangay fisheries and aquatic Resources Management Council
shall be composed of the following:

____Ricky T. Trongco SB- Chairman on Com. On fishery & Agriculture
____Arsenio Enaldo Agriculture Technician;
______________________________ NGO Representative on Fishery
______________________________ Fisher Folk Representative

SECTION III. The BFARMC shall have the following functions and
responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation of the Barangay Fisheries Development Plan and submit
such plan to the BPC;
2. Recommend and enact Barangay Fishery Ordinances;
3. Assist in the enforcement of Fishery Laws, rules and regulations in municipal waters;
4. Advise the Sangguniang Barangay on fishery matters through its committee on
fishery;
5. The BFARMC shall be consulted by the LGU in the management, conservation,
development, protection, utilization, and disposition of all fish and fishery aquatic
resources within respective Barangay waters.

SECTION IV. This order shall take effect immediately.
