Some of the parts involved in nutrition process are

mouth,tongue,stomach,small intestine, and large
intestine .

Aside from the facts mentioned above these parts

involved in the nutrition process, perform a large of
function. They help crush food into a pulp, aid in
digestion , absorb healthy nutrients and expel
unwanted wastes .

For human being , food needs to be processed and

absorbed to obtain nutrients .

B. Establishing a
purpose for the
lesson

At this moment, I will provide 3 riddles that are

related to our topic , and let us see how far have

Now, we will now discuss the digestive process.

The Digestive Process

INGESTION is the first process that happens in

digestive system. It is the journey of taking in food or
any substance into the body through the mouth. The
journey of food starts when a bit of crackers enters
your mouth. Both chemical and mechanical digestions
begin immediately in the mouth.
Saliva

produced by the salivary glands, it is watery liquid that

softens and wets the food in the mouth and start the

chemical digestion through enzymes present in saliva .

stomach

is made up of muscles that churn and help digest food.

Gastric acid, gastric juice, or stomach acid is a

digestive fluid formed within the stomach lining. With

a pH between 1 and 3, gastric acid plays a key role in

digestion of proteins by activating digestive enzymes,

which together break down the long chains of amino

acids of proteins
