There are a bed and a desk in my room. It is small, but I love it.

3 My Weekend

Saturday, August 13th, sunny

Today I went to my Uncle Richard’s horse farm with my family. I got up at five in the morning.
We drove a hundred kilometers. I felt tired but excited.
My Uncle Richard has a horse farm in the countryside. There are many horses to take care of.
We helped him for four hours. Then we helped him take care of the cows. What a lot of work!
It was a great day. I love spending time with my Uncle Richard.

Sunday, April 29th, sunny

Today I went to my aunt’s strawberry farm with my family. I got up at 6:30 in the morning.
We drove two hundred kilometers. I felt tired but excited.
My aunt has a farm in the countryside. There are so many strawberries to pick. We helped
her for two and a half hours. Then we put the strawberries in boxes. It was a lot of work.
It was a great day. I love spending time with my aunt.

Today I went to my friend’s father’s deer farm with my family. I got up at seven in the
morning. We drove fifty kilometers. I felt tired but excited.
His father has a deer farm in the countryside. We watched the deer and fed some of the babies.
We helped him for two hours. After that, we played in the barn until it was time to go home.
It was a great day. I love spending time with my friend.

  Family Trip

Wednesday, December 11th

Hey Alexis,
I’m in Vancouver! We arrived on Monday.
In the morning, we visited Stanley Park. It’s a big park in the middle of the city. We saw many
people enjoying the outdoors. We also ate some ice cream there.
In the afternoon, we went to the Vancouver Museum. We could learn about the history of
Vancouver. It was really interesting.
We saw so many places and had a great time. I really hope I can visit here again one day!

Friday, October 18th

Hey Darcy,
I’m in Sydney! We arrived on Tuesday.
In the morning, we visited Manly Beach. It’s a beautiful beach in the city. There were so many
people swimming and surfing there.
In the afternoon, we went to the Sydney Opera House. There was no concert, but we could
go inside and look around. It was amazing.
We saw so many places and had a great time. I think I will come back here again one day!

Hey Rachel,
I’m in New York. We arrived on Saturday.
In the morning, we visited the Empire State Building. It’s the most famous building in the city.
We went to the very top. It was so high.
In the afternoon, we went on a boat tour. We saw the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn
Bridge. It was the best part of our trip.
We saw so many places and had a great time. It was cold, but I loved it!

There are four seasons in my country. They are spring, summer, fall, and winter. I love summer.

In summer, it is hot and very sunny. I go outside every day. I can go to the beach or play in the
park. But sometimes it is too hot.
The sky is blue and the air is hot. I love walking on the beach in summer. Summer is my favorite

Amusement Park
My family went to an amusement park on Friday. It was really hot, but we had a great time.
First, we rode the viking ship. I liked it, but my mother was very scared. And we shot at some
targets. I hit all of the targets and won a prize. It was so exciting.
We also saw a seal show. The seals were so funny to watch. They played with balls and danced!
I can’t wait to go back!

My family went to an amusement park on Thursday. It was sunny and we had a great time.
First, we rode the vertical drop. My brother loved it, but I was a little scared. And we ate some
cotton candy. It was really sweet and fun to eat. I ate too much.
We also went on a roller coaster. It was really fast and exciting. We went upside down three
times! I can’t wait to go back!

My family went to an amusement park on Wednesday. There was a little wind, but we had a
great time.
First, we rode the merry-go-round. I loved it, but my sister was a little bored. And we rode a
roller coaster. It was not very fast and it didn’t go upside down. It was not scary.
We also saw a clown show. One clown came to us and made an animal from a balloon. It was
a horse! I can’t wait to go back!

Book Report: The Jackdaw’s Mistake

The Jackdaw enters a beauty contest. He is not very beautiful. His friend the crow tries to help
him. “You have to take some colorful feathers from the other birds,” he says. “Then you can use
the feathers to make a coat.” The Jackdaw does what the crow says. But the other birds laugh at
him and he leaves.
This was a story about being yourself. That is an important lesson. You should be yourself.
Also, it tells the reader that you should believe in yourself.
