texting or calling them using mobile phones. Government in the Philippines sponsored
to give or to have students’ borrow gadgets to be used for online classes.
3. What are the laws related to science and technology in the Philippines from the year
2000? What are their contributions?
• According to my sources from the internet, one of the laws implemented related
to science and technology is “LIMITED ACCESS FACILITY ACT OF 2000” which says
that, no person or vehicle shall have any right of ingress or egress to, from or across the
limited. It also says that, access facility and to or form abutting lands, except at such

Innovation Act”. This republic act was also enacted on the year 2000, this act helps the
economic growth of the country.
4. How are these laws implemented?
• The first law was implemented to avoid accidents. The second was
implemented in order to foster innovation in the country as the vital component of
national development and sustainable economic growth. But this second Act has to
formulate or promulgate the implementing rules and regulations to ensure the effective
implementation of the Act.

the Philippines? List at least three projects and programs and identify their role.

• “Merit Scholarship” AND “Fast-Tracked S&T Scholarship Act of 2013”- This
programs are under the (PSEC). These are the scholarships that aim to increase the
number of scientists and engineers that will help boost knowledge creation and
economic productivity in the country.
6. Are there private schools with outstanding science education programs? Identify and
compare their science education programs with public science schools.
•for me, yes. The average of teaching science in private schools has far better
than public schools because, most private schools teach not pseudo-science like
