1. A celebrity is a famous person in entertainment or sport. Fame brings lots of fortune and more opportunities for
celebrities. Luxurious homes, cars, and expensive clothes become a reality. People like Selena Gomez or Justin Bieber get
special treatment wherever they go.
2. There are also some disadvantages. Celebrities often don’t have any opportunities of getting the little pleasures of life
such as doing shopping at the grocer’s, having a quiet dinner at the local restaurant without being asked “Can I take a
picture of you?”. So, they have to go out in public disguising themselves so that they will not be recognized. They are
always followed by numerous fans. This can disturb them and even turn into a real threat. Tabloids and magazines give
their opinions and often disapprove of celebrities on their personalities, habits, bodies, etc.
3. So the life of a celebrity is sometimes full of serious problems. You may have everything but still feel lonely. There are
also some celebrities who lead a normal, calm life. Maybe it is the secret of happiness.
