Dialogue:

Waiter: Hello, welcome! May I get you a table for four?

Customer 1: Yes, please. We'd like a table if possible.

Waiter: Certainly. Please follow me. (Leads them to a table) Here you go. Can I get you
anything to drink while you look over the menus?

Customer 2: I'll have a glass of iced tea, please.

Customer 3: I'd like a sparkling water with lemon.

Customer 4: Just water for me, please.

Waiter: Great, I'll get those drinks right away. (Takes drink orders and leaves)

Customer 1: (After browsing the menu) Okay, I'm ready to order. I'd like the grilled salmon with
roasted vegetables.

Waiter: (Returns with drinks) Excellent choice. Can I take anyone else's order?

Customer 2: I'll have the chicken piccata with linguine.

Customer 3: I'm feeling the vegetarian burger with sweet potato fries.

Customer 4: I'd like the penne arrabbiata, please.

Waiter: Perfect. Would anyone like any appetizers to share? We have some delicious options.

Customer 1: We might be interested. What would you recommend?

Waiter: We have our popular spinach and artichoke dip, or the calamari is always a hit.

Customer 2: We'll take the spinach and artichoke dip, please.

Waiter: Great, coming right up. (Takes the rest of the orders and leaves)

Customer 1: (Later) Excuse me, could I ask about the side dishes with the salmon?

Waiter: Certainly. It comes with roasted vegetables, but we can substitute rice or mashed
potatoes if you prefer.

Customer 1: That's perfect, I'd like mashed potatoes instead.

Waiter: No problem. Anything else I can get you?

Customer 3: No, thank you. We're all set.

Waiter: Alright, I'll put your orders in right away. Enjoy your meal!

Scene:
A group of four friends are seated at a table in a restaurant. They have been given menus and
are ready to order.

Waiter: Hello, welcome! Are you ready to order, or would you like some more time to look at the
menu?

Customer 1: Yes, we're ready to order. Can we start with some drinks?

Customer 2: I'd like a glass of iced tea, please.

Customer 3: I'll have a sparkling water with lemon.

Customer 4: (Nods) Just water for me, please.

Waiter: Excellent. And for your meals?

Customer 1: I'm thinking of the Chicken Piccata. It sounds delicious.

Customer 2: I'm quite tempted by the Vegetarian Lasagna. Do you recommend it?

Waiter: Absolutely! It's very popular.

Customer 2: Great, I'll have that then.

Customer 3: I'm a bit torn between the Steak Frites and the Salmon. Could you tell me more
about the sides that come with each?

Waiter: Certainly. The Steak Frites comes with roasted vegetables and a creamy mashed
potato, while the Salmon comes with steamed asparagus and a lemon butter sauce.

Customer 3: I think I'll go with the Salmon then.

Customer 4: I'd like the Penne Arrabbiata, please. Can I get it with extra parmesan cheese?

Waiter: Of course, no problem.

Customer 1: Do you have any daily specials?

Waiter: Yes, we do! Today we have a Pan-Seared Scallops dish with risotto.

Customer 2: That sounds interesting! I might have to try that next time.

Waiter: Wonderful. So, to confirm, you have the Chicken Piccata, Vegetarian Lasagna, Salmon
with steamed asparagus and lemon butter sauce, and Penne Arrabbiata with extra parmesan. Is
that correct?

Customer 1: Yes, that's perfect. Thank you!

Waiter: My pleasure. I'll put your order in right away. Enjoy your meal!

Waiter: Certainly. Sparkling water for you, and water for the table. Menus are right here. Take
your time and let me know when you're ready to order.

(Customers take a few minutes to look at the menus)

Customer 1: Okay, we're ready to order now. I'd like the grilled salmon with roasted vegetables,
please. Medium-rare.

Waiter: Excellent choice. And what can I get for the next person?

Customer 2: I'll have the penne pasta with pesto and grilled chicken.

Waiter: Very good. How about you?

Customer 3: I'm feeling like the vegetarian burger with sweet potato fries.

Waiter: And for the last order?

Customer 4: I'd like the steak and fries, please. Can I have the steak cooked medium-well?

Waiter: Absolutely. Would anyone like any appetizers or side dishes to share?

Customer 2: We'll have the garlic bread to start with, please.

Waiter: Perfect. And for drinks, can I get anything else for you all?

Customer 3: I'd like a glass of iced tea, please.

Customer 4: I'll have a lemonade.

Waiter: Great. So, that's one grilled salmon medium-rare, one penne pesto with chicken, one
vegetarian burger with sweet potato fries, one steak medium-well with fries, a garlic bread
appetizer, an iced tea, and a lemonade. Is there anything else I can get for you today?

Customer 1: No, that's everything for now. Thank you!

Waiter: My pleasure. I'll put your order in right away and be back shortly to check on you.
