1 Overview
The DataSunrise Centralised Console (DSCC) is designed to simplify management of DataSunrise servers. It is
especially useful for users who manage multiple servers at the same time from a single machine. DSCC is available
for Windows, Linux, and macOS.
Key capabilities:
• Quick connection to all available DataSunrise instances.
• Synchronization of settings from the main DataSunrise instance to other instances.

2 System Requirements
Before installing and running the DSCC, make sure that your server meets the system requirements:

Table

Important: since we're constantly improving our products, it's highly recommended to use both DataSunrise
Database Security and DataSunrise Centralized Console of the same version (DS 8.4 and DSCC 8.4 for example).

3 Downloading and Installation

Download the latest version of the DSCC archive on the DataSunrise website. The DSCC archive is available with the
following filenames:
• For Windows
Data_Sunrise_Console_(version number)_Windows.64bit.zip
• For Linux
Data_Sunrise_Console_(version number)_Linux.64bit.zip
• For macOS
Data_Sunrise_Console_(version number)_MacOS.64bit.zip
To install the DSCC, extract the downloaded archive into a folder of your choice. The installation does not require
any additional components.

4 Adding DataSunrise Instances

To add DataSunrise Instances to the DSCC to manage it, do the following:
1. Run the DSCC executable in the root folder and set login and password.
2. Click on the Servers folder on the left side of the screen.
3. Click on Add new DataSunrise server and enter the following information:

Server Name text field DS Server logical name (any)

Folder drop-down list DS server entry's folder (folder displayed in the DSCC's UI)
Save Password check box Save DS password
Login text field DS Server's user name (admin by default)
Password text field DS Server's password
Foregroung Color color picker DSCC UI foreground color
Description text field Optional description

4. Click Test Connection to ensure you can connect to the DataSunrise server. Click Add to add it to the list of
servers.
5. Click on your DataSunrise Server name in the list to connect to the relevant server interface. You will see the
DataSunrise Server interface.

5 Import DataSunrise Instances

Import Servers allows you to add servers in bulk to the DSCC from a CSV file. Using Import Servers simplifies the
process of adding multiple servers to the DSCC and saves time.
6 Synchronization of Instances | 5
The CSV file must contain information about each server on a separate line. Example of the CSV file:
DataSunrise URL; Server Name; Folder; Login; Password; Remember Password.
https://192.168.10.1:11000; Test server #1; My Folder; admin; Ds-Password123; Yes
https://192.168.10.2:11000; Test server #2; My folder; admin; Ds-Password123; No.
To import servers, do the following:
1. Click on the Import Servers button in the main window.
2. Drag and drop the CSV file containing the information about the DataSunrise servers you want to add to the
DataSunrise Centralised Console. The import will start automatically.
Once the import is complete, check the list of servers in the DataSunrise Server to make sure the servers have been
added. If you have done everything correctly, you should see a list of all the servers you have added from the CSV
file.

6 Synchronization of Instances
The synchronization helps to synchronize settings, configuration, and entities between the local DataSunrise server
and remote DataSunrise servers. The local DataSunrise server can be configured and set up in an environment-
independent way only. All other DataSunrise servers will pick up these environment-independent changes.
The feature simplifies server management and maintenance, reduces system setup and the risk of errors, as well as
update times.
To use the synchronization feature, do the following:
1. Go to the Common Server [System] tab where you will see the local DataSunrise server interface. Use this
server as a template for all other DataSunrise Servers. This will apply the same changes to all DataSunrise Servers
added to the DSCC.
2. Once configure the local server, click on the Synchronization button.
Note: this feature does not work with the data stored in Storage and the databases associated with the DB Instance,
DataSunrise Servers, and Resource Manager.
