The alarm buzzer sounds in case of:
insufficient engine oil pressure, the display of
the monitor shows the relevant engine oil
insufficient pressure indicator light and after
about 5 seconds the engine is automatically
cut-off. Coolant overheating, the display
shows the relevant excessive coolant
temperature indicator light.

AUTO-IDLE BUTTON
With engine operative, when pressing
button Auto-Idle (6) the engine speed is
set at low idle reducing noise and fuel
consumption. The speed is reached in 5
seconds providing that no levers are
actuated. The function is indicated by
indicator light (7) on the monitor. To cut-
off the function, press button (6) again .

TROUBLE HISTORY DIAGNOSIS
The items relative to the diagnosis are memorised by the mechatro controller
How to get the displays
Move the starter switch into ON
Press the buzzer cut-off button 5 times in sequence
within 10 seconds.
The data are displayed 3 at a time for 5 sec.s
The items scroll increases each time the work modes
button is pressed; the items scroll decreases each time
the buzzer cut-off button is pressed. To erase the display
move the starter switch into OFF.

How to erase the content of the trouble history
Enter the trouble history display
Press simultaneously buttons work modes and buzzer
cut-off for 10 seconds or more. Once the erasing is
completed and “NO ERROR” appears move the switch

A W H/M
It selects one of the three operating
modes as a function of the work to
be performed.
Each time the button is pressed the
indicator lights indicating the work
mode come ON in the sequence W,
H/M, e A.
NOTE when starting the engine work mode W
is automatically selected
37
Controls and instrumentation
Mode W (Work)
Optimised conditions in terms of performance/
fuel consumption ratio.
Mode H/M (Heavy work)
Select work mode H/M when a higher power is
required. Also, in work mode H/M, the
controller automatically distinguishes the type
of operation being performed
(digging, grading, spreading,
compacting)automatically regulating the power
(engine rpm) and speed (flow). The
result of this distinction is visualised by the
display of the monitor.
Mode A (Equipment)
Select work mode A when optional equipment
such as hydraulic hammer,
crusher etc. is used.
The display on the monitor shows the
flow value pre-set.
NOTE: when the hammer/crusher pedal is actuated, (see chapter "OPTIONS AND VARIANTS") work mode A is
automatically selected.

Controls and instrumentation
Safety switches: Swing parking brake release
The swing parking brake release operation must be performed exclusively as a consequence of a failure of the
brake release system.
Switch (1) provides the release of the swing parking brake in the event it does not occur normally during the
swing operations and during the roll-in of the arm.
Never operate with the swing parking brake deactivated. This mode must be used only to move the machine under
safe conditions.

Safety switches: “Mode Cancel”
(available only for the versions E145, E175, E195, E215 and E245)
The “MODE CANCEL” switch deactivates the working mode selected by the display.
Remark: the configuration shown in figure with three switches is relevant only to the models E145, E175
and E195.
40
Controls and instrumentation
Safety switches: “KPSS switch”
(available only for the versions E145, E175 and E195)
The KPSS switch must be used only under emergency conditions to move the excavator from a condition
dangerous for safety when on the display is shown some warning trelevant to a mechatro controller
failure.
Remark: the configuration shown in figure with three switches is relevant only to the models E145, E175
and E195.
