PROF DEV 3: EMPLOYABILITY TRAINING AND

DEVELOPMENT

A: Why did I choose Education as my course?

I decided on the education course since I was unable to enroll
in the criminology course, which I would have really liked to,
due to an injury I sustained in grade 10 that required surgery on
my knee from playing basketball.

I carefully considered my options when I enrolled in order to

ensure that I wouldn't regret it afterwards. I decided that I could
become an elementary school teacher because I enjoy working
with children and can handle them well, so I enrolled in a
bachelor's degree program in elementary education.

B: Why am I still taking my course?

I have been appreciating this course from the very start, and I
want to finish it so that both of my parents and I will be happy
with it. If I am privileged enough to become a teacher in the
future, I will love teaching and I will teach for as many years as
I can.
C. Why do I want to continue my studies with this course?

I want to continue this course because I would like to be a

teacher sooner or later and I want my parents to be proud of me
assuming one day I'm destined to be our family's first educator.

D. Why I want to be a teacher? What are my characteristics that

I am very proud of and what are those that I need to improve?

Since I didn't get a chance to be a law enforcement official, I

believe that teaching is a suitable profession for me. Therefore,
I'm surprised to find myself here today and wonder whether this
is meant to be.
My self-assurance is a characteristic I'm proud of since it
makes it easy for me to get along with people and make friends
with them because I'm not timid around individuals.
My English speaking skills could use some work, since I
occasionally fumble and have trouble pronouncing particular
words.

E. My dream workplace/school

Santa Rosa Elementary School, which is where I went to

elementary school, is my ideal place of employment. My goal is
to assist my community by becoming a teacher in our barangay.

F. What Kind of colleague am I in the future?

I consider myself to be the type of employee who is

approachable, friendly, and most importantly, who will be a true
friend and colleague.
G. My commitment to my future workplace and learners

My commitment to my students in the future as well as the

workplace: I will be an effective educator with self-assurance
and a passion for what I do.

H. My General Reflection in this subject.

I gained a great deal of knowledge in this subject, including
almost everything that I required to know and what I should
know continuing forward. As a result, my understanding
regarding the subject matter expanded and became more
understandable.
