Task 1: Locate another word or two that use the stems. We


will do this together in class. Pay attention and your
classmates will help you with these. This link may help.

Task 2: Create a sentence, working in partners, for one of the words (per stem) that
you located in Task 1. You will have 12 sentences. Label each sentence with the
type of sentence.
(All of the sentences are declarative/ informative)
He needs no introduction as he has lived here for years.
The criminal was noncompliant with the police officer.
The meaning of the text was unknown until someone asked the writer.
The student was confused when asked to define the word “Supererogatory”.
