About Xiangqi Puzzles Five Moves Kill

Kill is a Xiangqi’s term where the player checkmate or stalemate his

opponent’s king. In order to win the game, the player must know how
to kill. In order to “kill” his opponent’s king, the players need to know
the basic checkmate or stalemate tactics. This book “XIANGQI
Puzzles Five Moves Kill” serves the mentioned purposes. The tactics
that applied to solve the puzzles are often used in real match. The book
consists of 280 medium level puzzles. These puzzles are for those
players that were getting the easy problems pretty easy but are still
struggling with the hard problems.

The readers are prompted to find a checkmate or stalemate in five

moves.

All the listed puzzles are Red to move and kill. Solutions to the
puzzles are provided at the end of the book. Red first move always the
right move. Depend on Black’s replied, some puzzles may have
multiple variations. The main variations of the solutions to the puzzles
are presented at the end of the book. The simple variations of the
solution are not shown, the readers are expected to work it out by his
own

This book also can be used as a supplement to author’s earlier books:
