Summary
We're looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst with a passion for understanding the drivers of
profitability. In this role, you'll be responsible for deep diving into our P&L statement, identifying
trends, pinpointing variances, and providing insights to optimize business performance. Your
analytical expertise will support strategic decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities
P&L Analysis:
Conduct thorough analysis of income statements, identifying trends in revenue, cost of goods sold
(COGS), operating expenses, and profitability margins.
Dissect P&L variances (actual vs. budget), providing insights into root causes and areas for
improvement.
Develop KPIs and dashboards to track P&L performance and highlight potential risks or
opportunities.
Collaborate with department heads to understand operational factors impacting P&L and propose
solutions.
Financial Modelling and Forecasting:
Build financial models to project future P&L performance under different scenarios.
Create forecasts for revenue, expenses, and profitability, and update them regularly.
Conduct sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of potential changes in market conditions or business
decisions on the P&L.
Pricing and Cost Optimization:
Analyse product/service pricing strategies and recommend adjustments to optimize margins.
Identify cost-saving opportunities across various expense categories.
Analyse fixed and variable costs and their impact on profitability.
Reporting and Communication:
Prepare insightful reports and presentations on P&L performance, highlighting key trends and
recommendations for senior management.
Present findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable
insights.

Qualifications
1 - 2 years’ experience in a financial analysis role with a demonstrated focus on P&L.
Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modelling, data analysis, pivot tables, etc.).
Experience with financial reporting and analysis tools.
Strong understanding of P&L components and key financial metrics.
