Kalkere Government
School Project
Helping Hand Welfare Society commenced a
support system to build a functioning language
teaching system in Kalkere Government School.
This intense curriculum targets children in
Grades 1-3. The program will increase students'
language abilities and have a beneficial social
influence. Most children come from diverse
backgrounds, and due to the pandemic, their
parents have been unable to supervise their
schooling for the past two years. As a result,
regardless of age, the children are in dormancy.
This program will positively impact the
students and create a high-quality outcome,
similar to how a potter moulds the clay to make
a beautiful pot.

Community Learning Centre

Children from low-income families who reside

in tribal areas cannot enrol in a residential
private school in the city where they can
acquire a top-notch education. Through the
Community Learning Centre, HHWS seek to
close the gap in rural education and assist
them in fostering self-reliance, knowledge,
and awareness among themselves and other
community members, which may
subsequently support the neighbourhood's
long-term sustainable growth.

Through Community Learning Centre in

Bhonda Jharkand, HHWS aim to bridge the
rural education divide. Every child and young
person (Especially the Girl child) in the
neighbourhood will have access to
information and training that promote
learning at our community learning centre.
Children from grades 1 to 10 benefit from the
community learning centre.

We aim to ensure that every child learns at

the right level and exhibits age-appropriate
learning skills. Plan learning and development
opportunities for the community that suit
their needs. Help them cultivate knowledge,
awareness, and self-reliance among
themselves and the people in their
community so that the program supports the
sustainable growth of the area. The benefits
of these programs are accessing high-quality
education, developing a new set of skills, and
exploring other career options.

Indian schools lack a platform that provides

mental health support. With this as our
motivation, HHWS initiated the Renewed
Minds Project, focusing on Mental Well-
Being. This Project aims to create a support
group for children which gives them a safe
space to share and express their
experiences in a supportive and non –
judgemental environment. The program
creates an open platform through which
students are taken through well-research
modules that comprehensively address
mental health while guiding children
towards self-reflection and the importance
of reaching out to support media for help
when needed.
