General Information Aruba Doet

Aruba Doet aims is to encourage the community to become volunteers, while simultaneously
benefitting the organizations. Aruba Doet gives the opportunity to social organizations to get jobs or
social activities for their target group done with the helping hands of volunteers. Projects such as:
painting a wall, freshening up a playground, organizing an outing for elderly people or making a new
fence at an animal shelter.

Aruba Doet 2024


On Friday 15th and Saturday 16th of March 2024 CEDE Aruba, in cooperation with the Oranje
Fonds, is organizing the twelfth consecutive edition of Aruba Doet!
Would you like to give a helping hand for a few hours to a foundation, school, sport club, scouting
group, elderly home, or another social organization? If yes, then join Aruba Doet and be part of the
biggest volunteer initiative in Aruba.

Heart and Soul


Volunteers are the heart and soul of community organizations. Through Aruba Doet, CEDE Aruba
and the Oranje Fonds we would like to emphasize how important actively engaged citizens are for
the community as a whole. What is more, Aruba Doet helps improve the image of volunteering and
shows how much fun it can be.

What do you gain from participating in Aruba Doet?


Being a part of Aruba Doet will give a positive impulse to the island. The participating organizations
can reach their goals on that day, which they might not have been able to achieve without your help.
On top of that, it will surely be an incredibly inspiring and fun day!

How can you participate?


Dozens of Projects that need to get done in Aruba are listed on the Aruba Doet website
www.arubadoet.com from mid-December onwards. You can subscribe directly as a volunteer (a
private person or a group) or contact the organization you have selected for more details and
exchange information. Find an exciting project and sign up!

What is NL Doet, ARUBA DOET, BON DOET, CURA DOET, SXM DOET, STATIA DOET and
SABA DOET?
Oranje Fonds in cooperation with thousands of community's organizations within Kingdom of the
Netherlands: Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, St Eustatius, and Saba organizes the biggest
volunteer initiative. These seven initiatives highlight volunteer work and encourage everyone to roll
up their sleeves for (a part of) a day.

Aruba Doet in numbers


In 2023 more than 4.000 people signed up for 194 projects in Aruba.
The Oranje Fonds
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima are the official patrons of the Oranje Fonds, and it is the
biggest national fund in the social arena and showcases the best the Kingdom has to offer. Around
€30 million is spent each year supporting organizations and initiatives that strengthen social cohesion
in The Netherlands and the Caribbean part of the Kingdom.

CEDE Aruba – organizer of Aruba Doet


CEDE Aruba is a permanent autonomous Aruban fund, aimed at strengthening the civil community
within a balanced society. It acts as a durable bridge between private initiatives, a strong, proactive,
and coordinated NGO community on the one hand, and the providers of local and international
resources on the other. It is the largest and most important Aruban Fund, which recognizes the needs
of society in a professional manner and produces solutions in a creative way. CEDE Aruba is known
as a reliable organization, to which everyone can freely apply for advice and assistance in social and
educational sustainable development.
