Dear Parents/Guardians
Resonating with the spirit of nationalism in the 77th year of Independent India,
with the

Sacred Heart family. At this juncture, Iwish to share some of my observations
with you.
Dear Parents, you all revel in the countless means and resources you give your
children the best future and be recognized as the Best Gen Zee Parents. Why
too
not? But ironically you have confined yourself in the chains of anxiety -
anxious to enable themn grasp all sources of learning and information - too
minds than
anxious to understand that we are making them well informed
well-formed minds - rushing them from class to class, hour to hour every
evening for academics and extracurricular. The drudgery of these classes has
and
forced them to give 'school' a back seat and deprived them of the zeal
enthusiasm that we all had every morning. It's simply missing in them.

problems, take decisions and gain social skills independently.

I am fully aware that the internet and social media platforms have
battlefields between you and your children. I exhort you to take the lead,
parents. Instead of imposing bans and restricting them fróm accessing these -
talk and discuss with them and agree on rules together maintaining the
schedule and quality of the onscreen time thus giving them freedom with
responsibility.
My personal meetings with the parents of nearly 90% of the students of the
school, urges me to state repeatedly that the concern of both the parents is
inevitable and nece ssary. Undeniably mothers are - it's the fathers who are the
transformative figures for children and families. His mere presence, providing
funds and willingness to punish misbehaving children is not enough. Dear
Parents, this new year of our ndependence, mnay we think of freedom not as
the right to do as we please but as the opportunity to do what is right. I
reiterate my views by citing Albert Camus, who fathoms freedom as nothing
but a chance to be better. Ipray that in this new year of freedom, we too evolve
along with the new and productive perceptions about FREEDOM'.

Dear Children
Should you find yourself in constraints of parental authority? Just think of
those young freedom fighters that had no freedom -had to face the constraints
of the British authority. For them, freedom was the final goal to be attained.
They earned this freedom not only for themselves but for all of you with
sacrifice, discipline and bare minimum resources. However, you see freedom
as an end in itself - you think that once your particular freedom (using
technology, partying with friends) is achieved all your problems will be solved.

your little responsibilities towards yourself. Right now, the greatest
