Validation-Explain here how the research tool will be validated. Explain the validity coefficient.

Validity is the extent to which a research tool measures what it is ought to measure.

RULE of THUMB!
When the research tool is lifted from previous studies or adopted from testing institutions both its validity
and reliability are already established. However, a letter of authorization from the researchers, testing
institutions & publishers must first be secured before the research instrument is used.
When the research tool is made by the researcher/s, validity and reliability are required.

Levels of Validity

Statistical
Points Descriptive Equivalent Rating
Range

5 4.21-5.00 Very High Validity (VHV)

4 3.41-4.20 High Validity (HV)

3 2.61-3.40 Moderate Validity (MV)

2 1.81-2.60 Poor Validity (PV)

1 1.00-1.80 Very Poor Validity (VPV)

Note: high and very high validity levels are desired.
