2.0 EXECUTIVE REGISTRATION

First of all, for this assignment we did a small business which is selling fruits to the
student because from our survey, we found that UiTM students like to eat fruits but
Uitm rarely sell fruits. Throughout this business we learn a lot how to promote sales
item and interact with customers. On top of that we able to earn an income from our
own effort and this the evidences of our result.

Next, for the past 2 weeks, we manage sell variety of fruits such as apple,
mango, pineapple, honeydew, watermelon, and guava. We also able to learn step by
step to cut the fruits and promote a business in the right way. Even though it's only a
small business, we've gained a lot of knowledge like we need to always be positive
and consistent in doing a job even if there's a class in the morning. When our minds
are positive, our work will run smoothly and successfully. We hope that with all these
experience, we get to manage any small business that might involve us in the future.

3.0 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

3.1 BEFORE ACTIVITY


The business we choose for this assignment are selling fruits for the students
at night because instead of doing assignmet while eating a snack, it is better to eat
fruit for body health. We bought the fruits from Billion Mall and Econsave Mall with a
modal of RM ______ . There are many types of fruits but we only choose certain
fruits that students like to eat and we also ask the customers if they have any
suggestion for fruits that they want us to add. The affordable price for this fruits that
we sell is from RM 1.00 to RM 1.70 for each types of fruits.

3.2 4 P’S STRATEGY


Next, we will explain the 4P’S strategy used which is product, price, promotion
and place. Firstly the product. This fruits we buy fresh from the market, the day we
buy is the day we sell to the customers so that it won’t spoil and no loss occurated.
We serve the fruits using singlet plastic bag with sticks to make it easier for
customers to eat.

The second for 4P’s strategy is price. This price is important because if it is
too expensive, not all customers can afford it. Therefore, with a price of fruits does
not exceed RM2 for 1 fruit, this is affordable price for almost every type of people.

Furthermore, the third for 4P’s strategy strategy is promotion. In the business,
the important of promotion is to promote a business so that can be known by the
commynity out there. Through this promotion, we can also raise the sale of product
for the company. In addition, the last strategu is place. The place also plays and
important role for a business. As for the fruits selling this can be manage as face to
face. So that the fruit stays fresh.

3.3 TARGET CUSTOMER
My target customers are tstudent UiTM who stays inside. Most people like to eat
fruits as a dessert. Especially when they don’t want to eat heavy food. Most student
like to eat food while doing assignment at night . What is interesting is that we sell
variety of fruits some of the fruits does not sell at UiTM and it is affordable for student
to buy we also do cash on delivery (COD). Students love COD because they don’t
have to go out of the room at night.

4.0 PROJECT OUTCOME

4.1 AFTER PROJECT


For 2 weeks (3 days a week) we were selling fruits from door to door, post whatsapp
status and whatsapp group, we manage to sell fruits without having lost and manage
to sell the fruits in about 3 hours.

I Eleanur Aqila, based on this assignment, I felt a little pressured because this is
the first time I venturing in this business in UiTM with a tight schedule but thankfully I
can manage my time well. I never thought anyone would buy this fruits because in
UiTM there are also fruit sellers.
On my first day selling this fruits, I tried going door to door at the campus and
promote our fruits at Whatsapp. I were shocked because there is many orders.
Because the fruit we bought on the first day was not much. There is an order that we
have to reject.
On the next day, we bought a lot of fruits. We buy fruit according to the
customer's wishes from their feedback. From my observation for second day selling
fruits I saw that apple sales slow then mango. For the next day, I think we should
lower the quantity of apple. While selling I also have a problem where it's hard to get
ice in UiTM.
On a certain weekend I need rest from selling to do all my assignment.
Eventhough I stop selling for a while people still ask whether I sell fruit or not on that
day. For this has shown that I get trust from customers and our fruits that we pick is
fresh and delicious.
Day by day, I am already good at interacting with customers which is
surprisingly not my character and I no longer feel embarrassed to promote fruits in
Whatsapp group even I become more eager to earn a side income for me. I began to
feel that I should continue to sell fruits until end of the semester. So, even though the
term of this assignment has ended but I will continue it to the next level.

8.0 CONCLUSION

In conclusion, we successfully finished this task. We learned a lot of useful skills


during this business such as communication skills, product endorsements and
financial management. Firstly, we learned communication skills by interacting with
the customers and how to attract buyers to buy our product. We also learned how to
deal with customers efficiently when we delivered the fruits late. Secondly, we
learned how to promote the product by developing a good product endorsement. We
discovered that seller need to acknowledge the perfect time to post their product on
social media and creating an eye-opening and jaw dropping poster. Thirdly, we
learned the most important skills which is financial management. We decided to set
a suitable profit for this product so that it is not too expensive or over price for our
target customer that is among the students. Hence, this course has brought many
benefits that include basic entrepreneur skills to us in the future.
