Optimizing Scanner Operation

Optimizing the performance of your Philips Brilliance CT Scanner requires attention to preventive maintenance
to ensure that your system will meet the rigorous clinical demands of your organization. Following these basic
recommendations will prevent problems from occurring and optimize the operation of your scanner:
A. Each day, make sure that all archive transfers are complete in Archive Manager.
B. After each patient, routinely transfer image sets to avoid large data transfers to PACS, EBW, EOD,
CD or DVD.
C. The Local disk should be maintained at or below 75% capacity.
D. After using applications that are no longer needed, close or exit the application.
E. Perform a host computer restart daily. This will refresh the host computer.
F. When copying data to
o EOD, select no more than four studies at one time
o DVD-RAM, select no more than one to two studies at a time
