Sea Otters and Sloth Bear Enclosure
● Both animals are able to be in
the same enclosure.
● Sloth bears are not related to
sloths.
● They train the animals to do
things like the sloth bears stand
up and put their paws on the
fence to check them.
Giraffes
● You are able to feed the giraffes
lettuce at the zoo.
● There are different giraffe
species.
● Their patches tell them apart.
Sea Lions
● Their enclosure has different
plants in the water.
● There are big rocks for them to
lay on.
● They are good swimmers.
Scarlet ibis
● Their enclosure has a little water
fall.
● There is also other bird species
in their enclosure.
● They get their bright coloration
from pigments in their food.
Cascabel Diamantada del Oeste
● They are from southern Mexico
to northern argentina.
● Their enclosure has different
plants and rocks.
Overall Experience
● I had a lot of fun.
● I learned that 2 of their elephants are pregnant.
● I do have a better understanding of zoos/exotic animals.
