I) Read the article and fill in the missing sentences.(20p)
Take recycling seriously !
A Does recycling sound difficult ? Let me tell you, it’s not, as long as both the
public and the state are willing to make an effort.
B It would be a good idea if we used ‘grey`water in a maore efficient way. For
example, water used in cooking and bathing can be used for watering plants and
lawns and rain water from roofs can be stored and used for a variety of uses such as
cleaning cars. This would save a lot of fresh water.
C It would help if we used washable cloths instead of kitchen roll paper to
clean every drop of milk that we spill or even our windows. By doing this we save
more paper at home.
D If bottle banks were placed close to bank cash machines then consumers
would think twice before going to the bank without carrying anything and would
save time and energy.
E The more we try to use them in our everyday lives, the longer our natural
resources will be around to be used and enjoyed.
1. Secondly, we ought to try to break the habit of reaching for the
kitchen roll for every little thing that we need to clean.
2. First of all, efforts should be made to protect our most vital resource,
which is water.
3. None of the suggestions above are new; they have been around for a
long time.

taking the glass containers to the bottle bank

most often discarded without a thought of recycling them.
