3- Actividades léxico-gramaticales
3.1- Lea los capítulos 3, 5, 9, 10, 11 y 12, extraiga ejemplos según se
indica y complete la tabla:

LEA LO SIGUIENTE DETENIDAMENTE, ANTES DE LLEVAR A CABO LAS ACTIVIDADES QUE

SIGUEN

 Frase nominal: siempre determine primero cuál es el núcleo de la frase nominal, si le antecede un
determinante, y luego cuál o cuáles son los pre- y post- modificadores (si los hubiere).
 Recuerde que los dos puntos ( : ) pueden dividir dos frases nominales.
 En algunos casos tendrá que agregar un artículo o preposición al momento de traducirlas para darle
sentido
 La forma –ing puede cumplir diferentes funciones, entre ellas la función de sustantivo núcleo de una
frase nominal, pero también como adjetivos (pre-modificadores del núcleo):
NÚCLEO (FUNCIÓN DE SUSTANTIVO): Healthy eating (= Alimentación saludable)
ADJETIVO PREMODIFICADOR: The nursing process (= El proceso de enfermería)
Pueden además funcionar como verbos, como en los siguientes ejemplos, que no son frases nominales:
VERBO: Feeding patients (= Alimentar a los pacientes)
 Recuerde los procesos de formación de palabras para intentar inferir el significado de las palabras
desconocidas.
 Use sus conocimientos del tema para expresar mejor los conceptos.
