One credit is equivalent to 14 lecture hours per semester (excluding midterm &
final exam). An allocation of for example 3-0-6 means that the course in question
requires 3 lecture hours, no tutorial hours and 6 hours of self-study per week.

Workload :
Fall / Spring max. 18 credits
Summer max. 7 credits

Students can take courses offered by the EBA and in addition one course from
another faculty or program.

Exams Students have to work on assignments and/or take exams by the end of each
semester. There are no re-sit exams.

English Test Not requested if exchange students are nominated by our partner institutions as
we rely on our partners to ensure that students have a sufficient level of English
language skills. In case of visiting students, the EBA retains the right to request
evidence of English language proficiency test scores that meet EBA admission
requirements as announced at

Local credits to obtain a bachelor’s A minimum study of 7 semesters and not more than 16 semesters, with a total of
degree 124 credits and an average GPA of 2.00, are required to be eligible for a Bachelor of
Arts degree in Economics.

Further Information

Thai language course Students may take language courses on a fee-paying basis in one of the
numerous language schools in Bangkok.

Accommodation The EBA program assists in arranging accommodation. Subject to availability


incoming students may stay at CU iHouse, which is located within walking
distance to the Faculty of Economics. Students also may stay at serviced
apartment in Bangkok.

Visa Before coming to Thailand, you must obtain a non-immigrant visa category
ED from the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate in your country. Information about
immigration matters is available on the website at
https://www.thaiembassy.org/

Health insurance All students are recommended to purchase adequate health and liability
insurance prior to their departure.

Once students have arrived in Thailand, they will be required to pay a group
health insurance fee of 2,0oo baht per academic year.
Student uniform EBA students have to wear the following uniform:

Female students:
• Shirt: with sleeves and collar, made out of pure white cloth with no design and
of an appropriate thickness
• Skirt: knee-length, made out of dark blue or black cloth with no design
• Shoes: polite style, with a strap around the ankle

Male students:
• Shirt: white with sleeves and collar, no design
• Trousers: long, made out of black or dark blue cloth, polite style with no design
• Socks
• Shoes: dark dress shoes

Buddy system To help students in their adjustment to campus life in Thailand and the Thai
culture, the EBA runs a buddy system in which foreign students are paired with
EBA students.

Living expenses We estimate that your living expenses will be around THB 20,000 per month (3
meals per day, transportation costs, and personal expenses), excluding
accommodation and luxury items.
