prepared classroom agreements that I expect
would be observed. Are you all familiar (answers may vary)
with CHAMPS?

I want every student here inside the

classroom to read our classroom agreement

C – Conversation ( The students

must answer questions ask by the (All doing the task)
teacher and converse with classmates
during group activities)

H – Help (The students must seek

help through a question when the
topic is difficult to comprehend)

A – Activity (The students are

expected to have a successful
product and performance)

M – Movement ( The students must

avoid unnecessary movements
during class discussions)

P – Participation ( The students must

LESSON PROPER

D. REVIEW
At this moment I want know first if you still
remember our previous lecture. What was
our topic all about last meeting, anyone?
Yes Francis? Francis: Our topic last meeting was all about
the deifinition of significance of the study and
the types of beneficiaries

Very good!

And what is a significance of the study

again, Regil? Regil: When we talk about the significance of a
study is its importance. It refers to the
contribution(s) to and impact of the study on a
research field. The significance also signals
who benefits from the research findings and
how.
Excellent! Again significance of the study
talks about the significant contributions or
the benefits of your research to the
community and to the academic field or
discipline where the researcher is affiliated
with.

This only means that you really have

understood our lesson last time. But do you
have any additional questions or
clarifications? All: none teacher

E. MOTIVATION

In order for us to have organize activities

and games let us utilized the groupings from

COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TEACHER EDUCATION- CASTE, Millennium Building,

Main Campus, Padre Ramon Street, Estaka Dipolog City7100 Philippines / facebook page: svci
college of teacher education
our previous activities.

I will only give you 1 minute to go to your

groups, settle down, and be ready to any
activities.

Your timer starts now!

Okay, Are you with your groups class?

All: Yes ma’am

Now, group names will be based on the fun

booth and rides in a carnival. The first group
will be ferris wheel, the second group will
be horror house, the third group will be
roller coaster, and the last group will be
bump cars.

Okay, before we dive in to our next topic, let

us play through out thr whole discussion! I
have here the game called “BINGO” are
you familiar with this game class?
(answers may vary?)
Wow! Some f you are familiar with the
game and some of you are not, but don’t
worry. For us to be guided on what to do
and how go win the game, we have here our
game mechanics. Kindly read Reina-Mae.
Reina-Mae: Yes ma’am!
The Teacher calls out words one at a time, and
each time the student hears a word that is on
their card, they put check mark on the word
with a marker or a Pen.

When the check marks line up to make a

complete row (horizontal, vertical, or a box),
the student yells “Bingo!”

The only technique in order for you to win

the game is to listen very carefully to the
teacher, and when you hear the word
mentioned by the teacher mark it on your
bingo board

Thank you! So those are our mechanics and

technique of the game. Do you have any
questions? Do you get it class?

COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TEACHER EDUCATION- CASTE, Millennium Building,

Main Campus, Padre Ramon Street, Estaka Dipolog City7100 Philippines / facebook page: svci
college of teacher education
I will distribute the bingo cards; get one and
pass.

Are you ready?

All: Yes ma’am!

Now, noticed the words on your bingo

board. We have significance, study,
contributions, jargons, and contractions.
What do you think is the relevance of these
words to our lesson for today? Yes,
Saladaga?
Saladaga: I think, our topic for today is about
how to properly write a significance of the
study.
Very good Saladaga! According to mr.
Saladaga our lesson for today has something
to do with the proper ways in writing your
significance of the study.
All: clapping

Let’s confirm that ideas later, but first I want

every single students here inside the
classroom to read our learning targets

F. OBJECTIVE PRESENTATION

For now, let us all read our learning

objectives.
a. Explain the importance of significance
of the study through oral discussion;

b. Evaluate the significance of the study of

an academic paper following the
guidelines in enhancing the
significance’s impact; and

c. Construct a significance of the study

with practical application of the
guidelines through research paper
writing.

Okay, so those are three objectives that will

set as our compass for us to be guided along
our lesson discussions. And speaking of

COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TEACHER EDUCATION- CASTE, Millennium Building,

Main Campus, Padre Ramon Street, Estaka Dipolog City7100 Philippines / facebook page: svci
college of teacher education
lesson.

Our lesson for today is all about

Significance of the study.

What is our lesson again class, yes Michael?

All: clapping

G. DISCUSSION

What do you mean by significance of the (Group answers vary)

study?

The significance of a study is its All: clapping

importance. It refers to the contribution(s) to
and impact of the
study on a research field. The significance
also signals who benefits from the research
findings and how. Now, let’s contextualized
it and introduce you on simple situations
that you might encounter everyday

For example: Every weekend, Miko helps

the poor dogs in the streets by giving them
enough food and water. What is the possible
impact of this action on the dogs? Sharmine

Very good! (Group answers vary)

Who are the main beneficiaries or who can

benefits from Miko’s action? Karen

Very good! All: clapping

Now in the field of research, Significance of

the study talks about the significant
contributions or the benefits of your
research to the community and to the
academic field or discipline where the

Main Campus, Padre Ramon Street, Estaka Dipolog City7100 Philippines / facebook page: svci
college of teacher education
researcher is affiliated with.

Let’s have another example:

The impact of bullying to the academic

performance of the students
.
Basically, the content of this research will
talk about how bullying affects students’
performance inside the classroom and what
possible actions can be taken to prevent this
kind of phenomenon.

Now, I want you to close your eyes, avoid

unnecessary noises. I will give you 30
seconds to visualize and analyze the study All: Our objectives for today are, at the end of
“The impact of bullying to the academic the lesson I can:
performance of the students” Are you all set
and ready? a. define what is significance of the study
through an interactive oral recitation
Who are those people who can actually
benefits from the study? And in what way? b. organize the general significance, the target
Kriszel beneficiaries and their specific benefits through
a reading and organizing activity.
Very Good!
c. construct a significance of the study with

beneficiaries like parents; they will be
informed of the possible impacts of bullying
on the students. In that way, they can
monitor and discipline their children to
avoid bullying inside the classroom. We
have the teachers; knowing the impact of
bullying will help the teacher promote a
positive learning environment. Those are the
possible benefits of the study to the
beneficiaries.
Michael: It is all about Significance of the
Do you understand? Any question? study teacher.

Now, there are two types of beneficiaries.

We have the non-academic beneficiaries and
the academic beneficiaries.

What are those two types of beneficiaries

Main Campus, Padre Ramon Street, Estaka Dipolog City7100 Philippines / facebook page: svci
college of teacher education
again?

Very good!

Academic beneficiaries are refer to people,

groups, or institutions within the academic
community who benefit from the outcomes
or findings of research studies. On the other
hand non-academic beneficiaries refer to
individuals, groups, or organizations outside
the traditional academic sphere who benefit
from the outcomes, findings, or applications
of research studies. Sharmine: (Answer may vary)

Do you understand? Any question?

Now, we have here a chart called a T chart, Karen: The dogs, ma’am
and here are the examples of non-academic
and academic beneficiaries. All you need to
do is place them on the T chart, whether
they are non-academic or academic. I want
five people to come here in front and
answer.

Non - academic Academic

Policymakers Teachers
Organizations Students
Agencies Researchers

Are these correct?

Very Good!

Academic beneficiaries may include

educational staff, teachers, students and
researchers, while non-academic
beneficiaries may include stakeholders,
policymakers, agencies and organizations.

Again, what are non-academic and All: Yes ma’am

What do you mean by significance of the
study? Yes, Miko.

Before we proceed with the other

assessments, I have here a box, and inside
this box are your names. I will call someone
to pick one name, and whoever is picked
will answer a very easy question. Are we
clear? Any questions?

All: (Answer vary)

The first question is why is significance of
the study important?

Very good! One of the reasons we do

research is to know about various
phenomena and to provide solutions that
will benefit the community.
All: Academic and Non-academic beneficiaries
The second question, What is the purpose of
significance of the study in research papers?

Very good! The significance of the study in

research papers highlights why the research
is important, what impact it may have, and
how it contributes to existing knowledge. It
provides context for the study and helps All: (Answer vary)
readers understand its relevance and
